My brother lived at this facility for 10 years (by choice) prior to his passing this [date removed] from cancer. His experience here brought him comfort, security, peace, and happiness. He felt loved and cared for but not smothered. He had his independence but also had people there to support him and tend to his daily needs. He made friends that became like family. The facility is older but very clean, and organized. The staff is amazing! They are such authentically kind, wonderful people. I am happy to have met them all and thankful they were part of my brother's life.

We were very pleased with the experience that my loved one had here. The staff are very friendly. I felt that the community was a like a family and it felt right at home. The staff were right on top of the medication for my loved, the care was outstanding they provided, and they even reached out to the doctor when needed on my loved one's behalf. [Name removed] personality was caring and friendly and made us feel right at home. I would highly recommend South Bay Senior Living to others.

Very bright community, it feels very comfortable and more uplifting then the last place my loved one was in, the staff was extremely helpful and supportive during the transition. Its wonderful overall and a great value for the cost.

We have not eaten the meals ourselves so we aren't sure where to give that rating, but according to our loved one they seem to really enjoy the meals. As far as activities go, they have a great variety of things to do, activities are always available. The value for cost is actually pretty good given what they offer, and we know our loved one is being well taken care of.

They are trying to keep activities going and are adapting to covid. It's a wonderful facility, the staff is nice helpful and supportive. The facility has a driver to take them to Dr. appts and pick up his medication. I would recommend this community.

We had a good experience there. They only negative was that towards the end of her life, they had very limited care options available to her when she needed more care. We chose this community because of the location being close to our family and my mom really liked the layout of her apartment. I would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

It was necessary that I be at Cherry Park in memory care to be with my husband where health was critical and also had to be in memory care. Needless to say it was difficult and a physical, emotional and mental challenge. The staff went above and beyond to help and support us and our family. After his passing I never considered another place.

This is an outstanding community servicing independent, assistant and memory care and individuals. I have toured 6 communities and have determined that this community is the best in serving individuals with special care.

My husband and I toured several senior centers and decided on this one for several reasons - and ever since moving in 2007, we have found our decision to be the best one. Residents and staff are all extremely friendly, and caring. We feel so lucky to have this place as our retirement home - every day is special and fun. There is simply nothing negative about living here.

This community has some of the nicest people. Staff is very helpful and go out of their way to provide excellent customer service.

Cherry Park Plaza has been nothing but a positive experience for my loved one and for my family. The staff is very helpful here, the housekeeping is excellent at making the community spotless, and they have lots of activities. I'm pleased to see that there are so many opportunities to be social here including movie nights, outings, games, and weekly socials. Best of all, the community is so convenient and close by. I'm able to visit very often. I would absolutely recommend Cherry Park to other families.

My Father is here currently and he loves it! He even cut hair here for 20 years before actually moving in. Of course he’d rather be home, but he says he’s extremely well taken care of, he likes the food, there are lots of activities, he’s been kept busy, and it’s really been an easy transition. He was working up until recently and he didn’t want to go to a “home” and so far, to him, it hasn’t felt like a home. He doesn’t seem to have a problem with the staff and he likes the administrator, he even knows a few ladies that work there at the front desk. I do have one tiny complaint, though. In the evenings, between 5 and 6:30, they seem to be relatively short staffed and you get switched back and forth between the two buildings. There was one instance that happened but it’s been taken care of since. They’re very easy to deal with, very polite, and other than the one glitch, I’ve had no issues whatsoever. There are exercises every day that he can do, bingo, and games. There’s an activity room and a TV room that he can go to and visit with everyone. They play movies and have popcorn, he can have ice cream whenever he wants it, and they provide 3 meals a day with snacks in between. They’re very accommodating and everything has been kept clean. If there’s any situation, I can email/call/talk to [Removed], the administrator, immediately. If there are any questions or problems, it’s taken care of right away. I would recommend them.

We feel that this is the right place for Mom. I do want to keep options open by checking out Courtyard at Mt Tabor. Proximity is important to us. Cherrywood is at an ok distance.

You have seen my 5 star rating and the others. ---So --- why read further? The “One Right Question” that follows: Finding the right place is difficult on so many levels and thus has given me great empathy for your quest. These facilities are, after all, “For Profit” organizations, and you, are their prize. One worries in what sense of the word “Prize” will I be treated? Cherry Park Memory Care is Mom’s home. They prove every day that she is, in every good sense of the word, their “Prize” and that they are in every sense of the word “good”. I made the right choice. The One Right Question -- Would I place my Mom in Cherry Park if I had it to do over again? -- The answer is, YES. Ask the “Real” sales people: those who live here & those who have placed their love ones here. Ask about the things that only their experience can answer. You can’t vet qualities in a person such as charter, honesty or sincerity without experiencing them first hand. I have experienced these things here. They have my trust. That is why I, for the first time, I have written a testimonial. P.S. When you see [“a la cart” or “point’ or “only pay for what you use”] model of pricing for care, save yourself, trust your instincts Run. That pricing model is so granular, detail so absurd, that the pricing is without limits. For me it speaks volumes about their motives and the things I consider priceless. Consider only those with fixed levels of care such as used by Cherry Park. Fixed, no asterisk no notes no strings attached.

My grandmother and mom have been enjoying the community. The staff maintains everything organized. One of the activities they have gone to is the tea parties they have been very nice. We feel that it's a very safe community with lovely people and services.

Cherry Park Plaza has been a definite positive in our lives. Mom has been there for a few months and feels at home. She can choose her dining time and stay active within the residence or take the shuttle for local trips. The apartment is a great size and has a full kitchen which adds to the home feel. Employees are very caring and mindful of residents and bring up concerns(if any) with the family and truly has the residents best interest in mind. The maintainence is well kept and appreciated. This was a good move for mom and I feel like one of the "family " as I come in and am greeted by staff and residents as well.

She was at another facility and the experience kind of went downhill. The workers were less and less experienced and attentive, so when we moved her to Sand Stone she is a hundred times happier there than at the other place.

I wish Mom could still be there. This place is such a gem. It felt good to have her in such a warm and nurturing place. Unfortunately, Mom requires skilled round-the-clock nursing now. But we remain forever grateful to Sunnyside Retirement Center. Please don't confuse it with the nursing center. We have also used them. Our experience with the nursing center, while not as stellar as the retirement center was also not as bad as what the negative reviewer is stating.

So far everything is fine. I got my computer Saturday after waiting and I had to wait on my cable, but that was the cable provider's fault not the facility's. The staff has been very nice and accommodating.
