Westover Retirement

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Westover Retirement since February 2022. She did 1 month of Respite Care. At that time, she made the decision that going to her own home was not something that she would be able to do. At first, she was struggling to make Westover her 'new' home. Since she has become an active part of the community. She plays chair volleyball, bingo and often attends and enjoys the musical guests. I can't think of any place (other than her own home) that she would be happier living.

Great experience at Westover

My father is very happy living at Westover. They take great care of him and he enjoys the entertainment and various activities they provide for the residents. It gives me comfort knowing that he is in a safe and caring environment. The staff truly looks out for his best interest.

Very Pleased with Facility

My loved one likes the activities, inclusing the arts, and crafts. It's really nice, and they have a nice family room. My loved one likes to go out to the garden. Overall, I love the way that the residents are protected. There is a sense of safety and security, which makes me feel comfortable.

kudos to [name removed], the move-in coordinator at Anthology of Mason. weeks after we actually moved my parents in, she was still helping us with fine details. she asked their maintenance team to assemble and set up another component of my mothers bed. it took two tries, but she now has a comfortable, sturdy bed in her room, good for her height. [name removed] went above and beyond to coordinate the effort.

the team is incredibly engaged with the residents of the community. my mom, who lives in the memory care unit, is constantly interacting with others and participating in many of the organized group events and activities. while every day is a new day to my mom, Anthology does everything to make sure it is a great day. can't recommend this place highly enough!

Wonderful staff and fun activities

We moved our mom here after a horrible experience at a different facility. What a difference! The staff are kind and caring. Staff turnover seems minimal which is a big deal. Communication between staff and family members is timely and most times Instant through texts. The food is great according to our mom. They also have a very busy activity calendar which mom loves! Can’t say enough good things about this place!

First Month at Anthology

Moved mom back to Cincinnati in late August, after many years of living in Florida. After looking at several assisted-living communities in the area, decided on Anthology of Mason. So far, a great decision. The facility is great, in regards to mom's apartment and other areas like dining hall (like's the food!) community room, library and movie theater. The staff, from nursing to activities is wonderful and they have worked hard to make sure mom had a smooth transition. Residents are also very friendly and welcoming and mon has made some great connections already.

I love Avita of Wells!

I love Avita of Wells! All the staff are very friendly and happy and make staying at Avita enjoyable for their residents. Every day is packed with activities for wellness and spirituality, physical fitness, social, and sensory and memory enhancement. The food is locally sourced and the residents have a choice of soup or salad, and 2 entrees for every meal. They have weekly excursions to the ocean and local restaurants. The residents convinced me that my mom would love it at Avita and they were right!

This location is not yet open, but we have put a deposit down and chosen the apartment already. Looks to be a great place, staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Their use of technology is beyond anything I've ever seen. Definitely our top choice. Will tour as soon as open later this week.

My mother-in law stayed here for her rehab for knee replacement. She was treated like a queen! Great people and beautiful community to be in. We walked out by the lake at sunset and sat near the gazebo watching people fish. Couldn't be nicer! Awesome therapy team helped her and I know if she has to do the other knee this will be her first choice for rehab.

Comfortable, clean and affordable, but not perfect

The staff and residents at Anthology of Mason are very friendly. The facility is kept clean and the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. However, the admissions staff will over promise to you. The response times to help requests can get lengthy and are rarely quick. If the residents eat in their rooms, the orders are more often wrong than right. Lastly, the staff seems overworked, entering rooms very late and very early, and at times they drag out simple tasks like laundry, for days.

Overall Great Place

All the staff at Anthology is very friendly and could not be more accommodating. The nursing staff is super friendly and helpful. My mom tells me the food is excellent. The activities are great in Assisted Living, but not so great in Memory Care. The facility is very clean, and they keep the residents' rooms clean and their laundry done. My only complaints are lack of activities in Memory Care and a lack of consistency in helping Memory Care patients get ready for bed at night. Getting the residents up in the morning has been fine, but there's a breakdown in the evening routine. Overall it's a great place, and I'm thankful to have found it for my mom!

Tour went very well as most all of our questions were answered before having to ask. A lot of information to absorb but all positive. The common area could be more cheerful but seemed to include what is needed for the residents.

Overall

We are pleased with the staff and my Dad feels safe there. They have activities that my Dad does not participate. I wish someone would “engage” him in an activity that HE would participate to help his mind. Otherwise it’s been what he needed b/c he could no longer live alone. We also had to privately hire someone to watch Dad 9:30p-0730 to make sure he doesn’t fall when he gets up in the middle of the night. Sincerely, [Name removed]
