Oatfield Senior Care Home

The staff members are wonderful, but we are not able to comment on the meals/activities because our loved one was to sick. The staff and the owner of the care home was wonderful and extremely caring and hardworking. My father was only there for 2 weeks before he passed [name removed] and [name removed] are wonderful caregivers and were so compassionate with me, as well as [name removed]. I feel that they were not informed of my father’s true condition by your company, as far as being very weak and non-ambulatory and in end of life condition, but they took good care of him until he passed. ,

[names removed] are wonderful, caring people who are always available to answer questions regarding mother's care. The facility was very clean and had natural light coming into the room from an accessible patio. The meals were nutritious and colorful. I would highly recommend L&C Adult Care Home to others.

My dad choose this home for his mom, my grandma she was taken care of in a very loving environment , great small staff, beautiful clean home 3 home cooked meals a day. All of her grand kids and great grand kids loved how she was taken care of, now my mom is here in the same room years later . Our family is so grateful to have been able to place mom here and especially in grandmas old room. I took care of her for along time now that I am not able to any longer I know with my dad being gone he would approve of this home for mom. My mom is always clean every time I show up announced or unannounced, happy being well taken care of great staff and family environment. Highly recommend if you need a place for a loved one.

The facility was nice, clean, accessible, etc. They stayed in decent contact with me, although they complained a lot, which was annoying given the amount of money we were spending. The hospice team was amazing, though. I think Oatfield did a good job by and large. I was not entirely happy with how the manager spoke about my mother's inability to breathe days before her death. I had also hoped to be with her when she died but I didn't find out about it until the next morning even though I'd specified that I could be contacted at any hour. I was also surprised to see that staff was confused about how to treat a woman with dementia who was shouting, as my mom was. Aren't they supposed to expect some of that and know how to address it?

We love this community it is a smaller care home with fewer people. The staff is small and attentive. Mom is doing a lot more interacting and participating in the daily activities. They have 3 home cooked meals a day which is great. The communication is great with [Removed]. It is always nice and clean. They have a lovely deck with seating and it is well maintained and has a small fountain. I would recommend this community.

I liked this one, very bright and cheery. Didn't get to meet the people who actually do the care.

I would have given higher ratings for the staff if the group home manager wasn't so blasé about my mother during her last few days. I don't think she ever meant to be unkind, but telling me it didn't matter whether my mother could breathe or not since she was so close to death was a little jarring. Other times, she'd be gentle and patient. They had a surprisingly difficult time with my mother's initial shouting as her dementia and associated fear got worse. [fee removed] felt a little expensive at times, but I also don't know how much care she required when I wasn't around. I am hoping my mom got to see a priest and got last rights, but nobody let me know how close she was to passing or gave me time to be at bedside.
