Amber Court Assisted Living Communities

My mother is at Amber Court for 3 weeks today. I/my family have visited a few times a week and find the facility clean and smelling fresh. Staff appear to be available to assist anyone. My mother has transition faster than expected due to the activities, and beautiful outside grounds.

I am very happy with every aspect of the facility. Staff including the front desk is fantastic I have already recommended the facility to many families. I could no longer give my mom the care she needed. The staff at Amber Court has made it possible for me to have peace of mind knowing she is well cared for.

This is a very nice, hands on facility. They express a genuine concern to try to resolve issues and to satisfy the residents. My loved one enjoys this community a lot. He doesn't participate in the activities, but they do have them. Sometimes their phone system goes out and it could be a day or two before I can reach him. I'm hoping they improve that. Other than that, we've had no issues here. The food is good and healthy. I only rated meals/dining lower because they don't serve meat for breakfast. I understand that most breakfast meat is high in sodium, but there are alternatives and I wish they would offer some of those with breakfast. Communication with the family is timely when we reach out to them. The staff is wonderful and very nice. The medical staff is very knowledgeable and hands on. Housekeeping overall is good. I would recommend to friends and family.

[name removed] was the person from APFM that helped us find Amber Court. She was absolutely wonderful! Amber Court is very welcoming. They made sure my mother-in-law was brought right into an activities and meeting people She was unhappy at her dining table because the others didn't really talk so they quickly accommodated. They are responsive to use as the family as well and answer questions or emails quickly. They really are great.

The executive director is absolutely wonderful. She had to go to the hospital and the rehab facility was trying to keep her there. The director I believe had a positive role in getting her from that rehab facility back to Amber Court as the rehab did not want her to leave. They have been wonderful.

Lake Shore may not be the most super luxurious community but it makes up for it in other areas. It is beautifully landscaped and the residents and families can sit outside and look at the nearby lake. The staffing is incredible, there never seems to be a question that cannot be answered and they are very aware of what your loved one has been up to. The value for the money is incredible especially for the quality of everything they offer. There are activities going on but our loved one has not been able to fully take advantage of them yet and sometimes the quality of the meals can be questionable. Lake Short was just bought out by new management and the new management team actually just met with all the residents and we thought that was a really good sign of things to come

After looking at every assisted living facility in Brooklyn and some in LI, I selected Harborview. Unfortunately my husbands stay was limited when he needed additional medical attention. It was by far the best choice I could have made. All the things I had been worried about were no problem there. He had an aide that treated him like family, and the administration was always accessible and responsive. The other residents were happy I believe because all their needs and more were met. It was a wonderful experience for both my husband and I.

My father is MOST Happy Here at Lake Shore! He was rec. By an amazing Senoir Advocate [Name removed]. When my father was refusing to live in my home.I was upset,untrusting and truly at my wits end . I wanted best SAFETY,and Care for my father.Lake Shore has been totally amazing!!!After a smart match of a roomate,my Dad Wont leave for family dinners at my house ,or a lunch out.... He says they are waiting for me at HOME!!! He truly is at home Here & cared for all the way! FOOD<MEDICAL,Sherry and WEEK end STAFF AMAZING!! Truly Love Lake Shore Assisted Living REsidence! My grandmother has never been happier. [Name removed] is amazing and her caregiver [name removed] is dynamite.

My mother was a resident for years and the care she received was thoughtful. My mom wasn’t always easy to care for but the staff persevered. Anytime there were any issues I felt comfortable to address them with the administration.

My Uncle has been a resident for about a year and is thriving which makes us very happy

I am very satisfied with the service and caring kindness of the staff. My mom has been a resident at Amber court since 2014 she feels safe and enjoys herself there. She is very active in the community It is comforting to know that she is someplace safe and reliable. I have never found it to be anything but the best choice we have made thus far

My grandfather is in this assisted living facility and he is loving it.[Removed] the recreational manager is the best, her energy and enthusiasm brighten everyone's day.The staff is extremely helpful they treat every resident like family.
