Come and Be Engaged with Life

It was very easy to move in to the community and they make it easy to transition into the community. They make sure you are invited to dinners and activities. The community has a formal dining room with white linens and servers. There are bingo, games, meditation and more for activities for the residents to choose from. I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones.

I would recommend it

We have been really happy with our experience so far with the Bellewood. The community itself and all the common areas are very open, spacious and bright. The apartments are great and they have different layouts to pick from so we were able to choose the perfect one for our loved ones. The activities here are not overwhelming, they do not go overboard which is something our loved ones wanted so that has really worked our well for them. We saw a lot of places but this community was just the best fit. In terms of value for money it is great, it is right in the middle of the mix with all the other communities in the area.

Could not be happier

I am very happy at Willamette Oaks. I am so glad I am here and it is perfect for me. Everyone is so friendly and I have made a lot of friends. I have a ground floor apartment that walks out to the beautiful outside area. They have a ton of activities provided, more than I can do! I would highly recommend to others looking.

Great place to live

It's a nice, beautiful community with 11 acres of ground and gardens with raised beds for the residents to use. We are located along the Willamette River and the greenery and wildlife is very enjoyable. The food is very good with quite a variety usually restaurant style dining. however, during COVID, the food is delivered to our apartments but we still get to select our meals. I would recommend this community to others families. The staff are really great.

Overlooks the Willamette River!

This facility has a great reputation and it is such a beautiful facility. It actually overlooks the Willamette River, ponds, and gardens. This place fit all of our expectations and my Mother is really happy here. The food is amazing and the chef has been here for over 15 years. It's really gourmet food and they have a really nice salad bar. The staff members are over the top, genuine, and caring. They make my mom feel so at home and comfortable. I also like that this facility has nursing staff on site 24 hours a day. I feel so much safer knowing someone will be there if something happens. I would 100% recommend this community.

Mom loves the place

We arrived with an appointment with [Removed] and had a free lunch in the restaurant even though there were four of us including mom. We were treated like queens and the restaurant was very nice including a salad bar. We were invited back to stay over night for free, with free breakfast. Since it was my mom's favorite place that we visited that day, and everyone agreed so mom and I went back for the complementary stay. We viewed the facility and mom picked out her room after [Removed] spent time with us carefully listening to what my mom's wants and needs were. She moved in last weekend and is already settled in. She is happy there and her alcove studio looks very nice. The unit was recently remodeled and was like new, and the staff even puts up your pictures. The atmosphere is very relaxed and positive. The day we moved mom in - two deer showed up in back of her unit, and bunnies, lots of birds, we went to sleep hearing crickets and felt like home.

Don't miss Willamette Oaks

The community is very well managed, clean and obviously well cared for. The staff is very pleasant, caring, and with a smile. They don't make you feel like an old person nuisance. The food is wonderful. The chef accomodates individual differences. There are many styles of apartments from which to choose. The location, in terms of medical facilities, shopping, entertainment, sports, etc., is outstanding. The activities provided are numerous. Current residents are friendly and helpful.

Great Art Program

My mom had friends at Willamette Oaks, so she really wanted to move here. She liked being right by the river. She also liked the art program that they have. They bring in things from the Hult Center, and they go to the theater in Cottage Grove. They only serve lunch and dinner though, and they don't serve breakfast. That was a deal breaker. They have kitchenettes in the rooms, but the reason we wanted my mom in assisted living is because we don't want her cooking. They were a little more expensive. They were standardized as far as the rooms, but we liked the layout the best.

a nice community

We really do like our loved ones apartment it is very nice. It is expensive but at the end of the day it is worth it and make things easier for us. We do wish they would put more effort in getting people involved in things. They have a nice trail around the facility but it is really broken up. Along the river there are miles worth of trails but its farther away from the building but good to go on bikes - but would be nice to have a place for them to store their bikes.

Needed to be updated.

The staff was really friendly. The food was an issue. It needed updating and they didn't seem willing to put much into it. The rooms and the exterior really needed updating. They turned off them exterior lights, and they said that they were being replaced. If we addressed issues with management they were quick to deal with them face to face. Now that we are not there, they are finally doing some updating. But she lived there for a really long time, and it wasn't done then.

Stuff you should know

The house keeping is pretty bad. They kind of clean around stuff. I would suggest. You find someone else to come in and clean. Then, they are short staffed. So, they are unable to do a good job. When comes to repairs, security, and generally helping their seniors. Speaking of the security, it needs to be improved. There has been times where stranger have entered residence apartments and and taken things from the seniors. Then apparently. Whom ever checks into the front desk to see a resident does not have to wear a name tag or identify them self to the resident once they get to the door.. they must sign in at the front desk and give proper ID but the resident doesn’t deserve to see proper ID. Somethings wrong with that security move there.. plus their prices are through the roof. I wouldn’t recommend anybody go there. Their food is really really bad.
