La Costa Elder care is the perfect fit for my mom. The caregivers are like family now. She had an easy transition and has settled into her new home. The house is clean and safe for her. Couldn’t be more pleased with her care

The food, in particular. Fresh, wholesome meals are prepared daily with a homemade soup every day. The facility is very clean and homey. The staff is conscientious and warm. It's also in an excellent, quiet neighborhood. my mother just went through aspiration pneumonia, and was hospitalized. She received excellent, personal care when she came back from the hospital. I felt that the staff's knowledge of how to care for her was beyond what I would've expected at each stage of her healing.

The staff were friendly, kind, accommodating and experienced, they made the move in process easy and the meals seemed homemade and great. I would highly recommend this facility to others.

I would recommend the Abdul St. home for elder care. Very good staff. It seemed the 'guests' were made to feel welcome and well cared for. Very clean and well kept premises. Inviting patio and garden area that would be an ideal spot for visiting or just enjoying the outside if guests were up to that. I would tell prospective families that La Costa Elder Care is a caring and most satisfactory elder home for their family members.

Care staff has been there many years, and they're very friendly and attentive. Meals are prepared with fresh ingredients every day. When I visit, which is almost daily, delicious smells are coming from the kitchen. Furnishings are older but the home is warmly decorated and clean. I like that they are licensed for skilled nursing and have host hospice providers. I feel so much better knowing I should never need to move my elderly mother again. I don't know about activities but my mother has never been interested in them in other facilities.

The staff is very friendly. The premises are really clean. I feel that my loved one is being well taken care of. It would be nice if they had a menu to show what the meals were going to be for that day or week. Also, I don't really see activities going on, so it would be nice to have a calendar for those as well, so I could know more what's going on.

My father-in-law is doing okay here and we love the caregivers. They really push for him to get off his medication. There was a complete turn around after they advocated that. I see them being just so caring. we are just so amazed and think it is a miracle he is still active. He is bedridden so they make sure they move his positions to avoid bedsores. Anything we notice about him, they get right on it. They have been in really good communication with hospice and they are good to relay messages for us to hospice. That has been helpful for us. When my Mother-in-law went to visit she heard them singing to him, that confirmed we made the right choice here. I would recommend this community.

The entire staff are very caring and this care home is run really well. My dad likes the food. They offer daily activities. The home is clean and well taken care of.

Very impressive tour.

I can not think of anything they can improve on. The manager treats each and every one of his patients as if they were his own. My experience has been extremely grateful for them and my loved one is ten times better today for having been there. It is the best place that anyone can put a family member.

Our mother moved in this past week, and so far we are very happy with her new home. We feel they are very thorough and will do their very best to monitor every aspect of her needs and well-being. It is a great feeling to know she is in good hands.

It's a very friendly community. Some of the staff have been there for a very long time, and I think that speaks volumes. They're very friendly but very busy. I think they could probably use another person to help out. But all in all they're very kind and sweet, and great with the residents. They are always nice and kind to the residents, even if they're grumpy or ornery, and I know sometimes that can be challenging. The food could use some improvement. Sometimes they try to give the patients what they want to eat, and in my opinion, sometimes you just need to keep offering the fruits and vegetables. A lot of the residents are bedridden or have significant Alzheimer's, so it doesn't really make sense to have group activities. But they do take everyone to the dining room table so they can all eat together. And the people who work there will spoon feed them if needed. The help all like each other's company, which creates a harmonious and cheerful atmosphere. This was one of the cleanest places we 've been to. Every singe time I've been there, it's bee very clean - well dusted, just very pleasant and homey. It has a beautiful view of the golf course. It's quiet and peaceful. And they have a lovely backyard where they get people outside in their wheelchairs if needed when the weather is nice. So the residents can be out there in a little bit of sun and see an expansive view all the hillsides and trees. I think the cost is very good for what you're getting here. I also like that they have good emergency plans in place for earthquake and fire evacuation. They thought of everything.

There are not a ton of activities at La Costa but my aunt does participate in a few. She has a patio and enjoys going outside. The staff are very nice and helpful. I have not tried the food but my aunt seems to like it and it seems to have a lot of nutrients.

All caregivers and managers very friendly, caring and knowledgeable. I'm very comfortable having my father in their care.

Thomas and his staff have been extremely helpful and caring. I feel much more comfortable having my wife at this facility than I did at her former caregivers.

Nice. Private rooms. Clean. Concerns are strong accent of care givers and medicated patients.
