Private Home Care

We previously used home care services through Private Home Care Niles for my loved one. Everything about the experience was great. We were very happy with the care that we received from this agency. I would recommend them to others.

What was nice is they were able to locate a couple of Spanish speaking caregivers right away which was one of our main requirements. They were great with the scheduling and always showed up on time for their shifts. I would definitely recommend Private Home Care services to others.

I have so far just called in for services and they have been nothing but helpful! I actually spoke to a live individual and was able to get so much information without being pushed into service agreements. Needless to say, I will be going with this agency!

Caregivers and staff treated my family as their own!

It's taken me awhile to write this review. In August, my father, who had been battling cancer for seven years, finally gave us his fight & came home to die in peace. My mother, sister & I would be his caregivers for the next two weeks. We had zero idea what we were doing, what to expect, what we were in for. We hired another home healthcare company previously & it was an *awful* experience during the one time of our lives we weren't emotionally equipped to deal with an awful experience. At my wit's end with this other company, I stood outside on my parents' porch at 6pm on a Saturday & called PHC, fully expecting to get voicemail or an answering service to leave a message with & have my call returned on Monday. But no, a REAL person answered ([name removed]--fitting since he turned out to be our angel, lol), listened to my story of family crisis, took only my first name, phone number & parents' address & told me someone would be at their house in 90 minutes to assess the situation & get us a competent caregiver THAT NIGHT. During that 90 minutes, unbeknownst to me until later, he lined up 24/7 care for my Dad--without even knowing my last name, without taking my credit card number, without me signing a contract. His colleague, [name removed], arrived 90 minutes later, as promised, & got us squared away. Their caregiver showed up as promised & the others did as well all the days that followed--with [name removed] texting or emailing me just to check in & see how we were doing. All were caring, competent professionals. It was clear PHC treats their staff better than the average healthcare company because they were pulling the cream of the crop in the way of caregivers. We ended up having my Dad transferred to Evelyn's House five days later because we were unable to keep him comfortable at home but during our days before that, this company & their staff made our family feel loved, supported & cared for. It's very clear that their hearts are in the right place. I could not recommend them more highly for any time in your life you might need some extra hands--recovering from a surgery or injury, end-of-life care, etc. GOOD PEOPLE.

We have used Private Home Care several times during the past few years to provide care for my mother from two to six weeks. This is an outstanding company. The management can be contacted immediately at any time of day, responds rapidly to our requests to begin staffing or adjusting staffing needs, has spent inordinate amount of time solving our problems with long term care insurance, shown flexibility when we do not need staffing for a period of time, tries to have the same caregiver working with the same client as much as possible, and sets policies that maximize the value of the care to the patient and the patient's family. The staff uniformly like working for the company and believe the management treats them fairly. The staff arrive on time, have good care giving skills, have good social skills, care about their patients, and show excellent initiative in determining the patients needs. The prices are fair. In a field where there is a lot of mediocrity and emphasis primarily on profits, this firm really stands out.

By far the best home care experience I have had over 8 years of having home care for dad. We have used several agencies and this one is the very, very best. My dad has 24 hour care at the moment and Private Home Care-STL is one of two companies that work with him. The other company has 30 hours a week and PHC-STL staffs the rest of the case. Dad is very particular and the caregivers from PHC are definitely leaps and bounds above the rest. They pay their employees better but their rates are pretty competitive for clients. I think this has to do with the difference. Highly recommend this company.

Private Home Care-STL is by far my best experience with any agency in the last 8 years of having home care. The reason being their responsiveness and customization. They don't over-extend their staff and someone is always available. The caregivers working with dad are also a step above the rest. PHC is one of two agencies we are using simultaneously because dad has 24 hour care. The other agency only has 24 hours per week. PHC is definitely a lot better than the other and if something happens with the caregiver from the other agency, we will switch completely to them.

I'am very satisfied with the services my father has been receiving from this home care agency. He is doing very well, and everything has worked out great. His care giver is amazing. She is very helpful, and he gets along with her great. She helps he out with anything he needs. It has been a great experience, and I would recommend this home care agency.

I am very pleased with Private Home care. They offer a lot of flexibility when it comes to staffing. They don't have a lot of options because of my geography but I am willing to pay more to have a full-time caregivers during the week because it is best for my husband.They take many notes and the case worker comes out to visit. I feel like I'm working with a team. My husband is very picky and they try to find recipes he likes so he will gain weight. It can be difficult to bring someone in your home but if that is what is best for my husband I am willing to do so.

The staff were great when we set up home care service. They explained everything. We did have a small issue for the first day with some of the Caregivers. This was corrected immediately when we spoke to the office. They help with some light housekeeping, cooking and personal needs. I would recommend this service.
