I would rate all of the categories a 5. Abbey Manor of Elkton community has given my mother back her laugh. She feels secure there. The staff is exceptionally thoughtful. Based on the experience we have had so far we would recommend this community to other families, and have already recommended them to others.

Abbey is a wonderful place. I can't say enough good things about the community. This is a cozy, warm and caring community. The staff are friendly and respectful of the residents, treating them as family. The facility is clean and well maintained. There is a kitchen with a full time cook. The food is delicious, and prepared with nutritional value in mind. I spoke with many outside care providers who spend time at Abbey Manor as well as other communities. They all raved about Abbey Manor and its staff. Many said this is where they would want a loved one of theirs to be if assisted living was needed.

The staff at Abbey Manor are so friendly and caring. This was the best choice I could've picked for caring for my mother. They treat her like she is their own. I just love all of them. Thank you all for taking such good care of my Mother. I would give you 10 stars if they had it.

Very nice facility and tour. It did not have much of an outside atmosphere but it is in a great location with plenty to do for people who might be coming to visit.

We are very happy with Abbey Manor. They have taken good care of your mom. The community is very loving, and meeting her needs as they arise. They also keep us in the loop to give us ideas on how to be helpful as well. The staff has been able to assist with my mom's nails and cutting her hair. This is because the salon on site, isn't open due to COVID.

Felt very welcomed and comfortable from the time we stepped in the door. Residents seemed happy and content. The rooms are a very nice size and there weren’t any strong odors. The atmosphere was very quiet inside and out. Loved how the staff talked to the residents. They were very kind and respectful.

Warm and inviting. Too bad they don't have Medicaid beds. Liked the single rooms with private bathroom. Like knowing what the set charges are each month.

It was a positive experience during my tour. The staff was friendly and helpful.

My uncle is getting the right level care, even though it has changed form the beginning they are taking good care of him. He has not been eating well and the staff are giving him some Ensure. The community does have good activities and he was participating but he has been tired lately. We choose this place because it is close to family and we heard good things about the community.

We have heard good things about the meals they provide and that the are individually tailored to each residents. Overall we have had a good experience with the Abbey Manor

My dear mother in law was here for two years and there could not have been a better place for her! She stayed until she joined the angels, the best part was Abbey Manor staff knew her when she was well knew the things she liked and disliked as well as her personality. So when she became ill she was with those she knew and cared about her no better gift could have been given her.

I would recommend Abbey Manor of Elkton to others. It's a small format and is perfect for my mom!

love the small atmosphere . staff seams very nice and willing to answer questions and help.

The people were nice and they are in the process of enlarging the facility to allow for more private rooms. My mom is not at their level of care at this point. She would need other residents at Level 1 to interact with but this is a very nice small environment for care.

It's really more of a home type atmosphere and that's really good. I think that maybe they could improve on some of their fees - some of the fees that you get there are a little more extreme. It's smaller and everyone is pretty incapacitated, more like type three in that they need help with almost everything.

This looked like a fancy community when we visited. We did not like that they did not offer a separate dining room. They do have private rooms and the staff were nice. This community is in a beautiful location. They did not offer a great visiting area. We did not think this community would work for our loved one.

The community was very small confining for someone like my dad who uses a scooter. Looks more like a grandmothers house. Lots of lace and dolls. I think more suited for women but overall was on lock down when we busted and we had to wear full hazmat wear a little scary people seemed really nice just not suited for my father.

This care home is on a working farm and it felt odd to me. The home is small and there is no view when you look outside. The caregivers I met were nice.

Some of the people don’t respond to moms needs as quick as she would like. The back area is nice and overlooks a field and the woods. The food is ok and smells good, but not totally happy with it. The activities need to be on a more regular basis with a bit more staffing to help out. We would like it if things evolved.

Our family had an in person tour and we just did not like it right away, the staff just seem very gloomy and over worked we did not get a positive vibe at all.
