Royal Gardens Elder Care

My brother was a resident at Royal Garden while receiving hospice care. He was treated with the upmost dignity and respect while he was in their care. The staff were cognizant of his needs and attended to him as if he were a family member. My brother was able to enjoy time with other residents in the main living area where a safe and caring environment was created by the staff. As a family member, I was always greeted with warmth and never felt like I was imposing on the staffs time. There was good open communication between us and the staff, so we were all on the same page regarding my brothers care. Overall, I believe my brother was on good hands while in the care of the Royal Gardens Elder Care.

I have visited a friend there 5 times and it is always sparking clean. The residents are all happy and seem to enjoy themselves. The food looks great, I saw three different meals during my various visits and while it is home cooked it looked as good as any restaurant would make. They have a nice backyard, the facility is secure, the rooms are roomy, each with an accessible bathroom. Lots of light in the place. I met three other residents b sides my friend and all were happy and strong, so much better than skilled nursing facilities in my opinion.

I was very happy with the care at this community. The staff were very helpful and caring for the needs of my husband. We found the community to be clean and well maintained. They did have a nice variety of the menu. They do also offer activities for the residents that want to participate. We would recommend this community fo the care of others.

I had looked at quite a few other places first but my family didn't all agree. When I brought Mom into River Gardens, both my brother and Mom had big smiles on their faces. It made me tear up and I knew it was the right place for mom, and I was just as sure at the end of her stay (10 days of respite care)!

We have been very pleased with the clean and friendly environment. Most importantly our relative refers to it as home.

Welcome Home in Carmichael, CA has been terrific. The facility worked with us on a varied timeline of when my father would be placed as he was in the hospital with no set release date and yet they were patient and told us when ever dad did get released that they would save a spot for him. They welcomed him warmly and have made sure all his meds and needs are met. Dad loves the food there and is safe. We are very grateful for this special home that my dad can reside in.

They were great, they really were very, very nice. Very nice facility. I thought they did a great job caring for my mom.

This home has 6 other residents plus my mom and they are doing more than I could have cared for her myself. They clean up right after the resident so the house is very clean. In the beginning she was complaining about eating sandwiches everyday, and I am sure she is still eating them and they make things like casseroles and soups too. Recently they made pork steak and she loved it, she wishes they would make more home-like meals.

My aunt is doing alright since her move into the community. So far, everything has been good as far as the care and cleanliness. Everyone there is very nice and they are taking good care of her.

So far I am pretty happy with them. It's very clean, and they are attentive and responsive. He is eating, so that is good. When I went to see her, and looked at this, she was very helpful, and I liked that it was family oriented, there was plenty of help, and the fact that it was very clean and convenient. I liked the overall appearance and the things that she said. My only concern is that the caregivers aren't big enough to be able to get my loved one out of bed. I was hoping they'd be able to get him out and into his walker. I didn't see the girls when I went to tour, so I didn't realize this might be an issue.

They were fine. I don't have any problem with them.

$2500 starting. Private room. Nice family run business. Small bedrooms, large bathroom. She owns two other homes in RCO and Carmichael. Smoking access.

Excellent facility. Mostly men. Nice, clean, lots of caretakers. Expensive transportation to doctor's appointments - $50.00-$75.00. I felt a bit of a hard sell here. Manager seemed very kind, religious, and not very specific about costs. Hospice is welcome.

Beautiful house, but not enough activities and interaction

No activities except cards and TV. No outdoor areas for residents observed.

We did not have a good experience, but others seemed to like the care. I think if you agree to use their home health or hospice it might be better. Didn't seem right to me. They tried very hard to push their own Hospice Care, didn't want to work with the one we had. My mom's care was compromised due to the disruption between the care provider and hospice.
