An assisted living community is a residential living community which offers support, supervision, and aid to healthy persons who do not require skilled nursing support. Assisted living communities often provide assistance with appointments and transit, outings for organized activity, and help with daily activities. This type of community is required to offer a number of services. These include supervised personal care, reminding resident of important activities to be carried out, being aware of a resident’s general whereabouts, and supporting a resident’s personal and social needs.
