This screening includes a number of areas of interest such as service plan takes into account the preferences and competency of the resident, service plan identifies the individual’s need for services, A comprehensive written assessment that that describes prescribed treatments and medications that must be provided to the community prior to admission, and service plan identifies the individual’s specific needs for care. This community has a number of provisions concerning food and diet which include Food must be prepared in accordance with the recommended daily dietary allowances of the Food and Nutrition Board of the National Academy of Sciences National Research Council, three daily meals and snacks must be provided, and communities must provide medical nutrition therapy if prescribed by a licensed health care professional. The minimum number of residents for this community type is 21. This type of community is required to offer a number of services. These include medication management, supervised personal care, being aware of a resident’s general whereabouts, and assisting a resident to keep appointments. This community type has a number of provisions pertaining to medication assistance. These provisions include reminding a resident to maintain his/her medication schedule in accordance with the prescription, proper training of direct care workers to handle and administer medications, and medication supervision and administration. Public assistance is available through Medicaid State Plan.
