Assisted living communities provide recreational activities, care, and oversight to people who are about 65 years of age or older. Assisted living communities usually provide care supervision, aid with daily activities, and aid with transit and appointments. Before a resident is accepted, they must go through a service plan screening to make sure their needs are going to be met. This screening includes a number of areas of interest such as A comprehensive written assessment that that describes prescribed treatments and medications that must be provided to the community prior to admission, service plan identifies the individual’s specific needs for care, service plan identifies the individual’s need for services, and service plan identifies the individual’s need for activities. This type of community is required to offer a number of services. These include medication management, reminding resident of important activities to be carried out, supporting a resident’s personal and social needs, and guidance.
