Answer to A Prayer
I can't say enough good things about Pleasant Valley Family Care. The care is personal and very specific to the client. The staff are very observant of everything that's going on with your loved one. They communicate with me and keep me in the loop. They tell me if they notice anything different or unusual. The home is spacious and bright. They even have skylights in the living room so the residents are exposed to natural daylight, which I think is great in helping prevent sundowners and things like that.

they really put their heart into this
from the initial visit to the move in i could tell these people cared for cleanliness, comfort, and the happiness of their residents. the living area is huge! and is great for the residents and activities. i heard they are getting a piano soon so i am excited for that as well. this place truly feels like home.

Extremely Disappointed
Extremely frustrated and would give a zero stars if possible. Put my father in the home based on reviews and initial impressions; boy was I mistaken. They have a VERY strict schedule on when/how you visit. They require an appointment/call ahead (what are they trying to hide?). Even asked my mother to leave because she was there past 6pm, despite being there only a few minutes. CAN'T come during meal times and ONLY allowed to visit in their rooms. They only provide assisted showers once a week and only provide food during meal times. The last straw came after we informed the home about contacting hospice, after only being there less then three weeks. They immediately tried to raise the rates by $900 and wanted to renew a contract on the spot! Stating it was because he "needed more care then initially realized". HE WAS ONLY THERE TWO AND A HALF WEEKS! Never judge a book by it's cover. I can't help the feeling that it's nothing more than a cash cow for them.

Beautiful, sunny and bright facility with top notch care
My mom moved to pleasant valley earlier this year and she has been in better health and spirits than she has been in a very long time. [name removed] and [name removed] are so incredibly attentive and caring, and run an impeccably well-maintained home. It is a bright and sunny house with open shared spaces and well-appointed private rooms for each resident. The shower room is so well-laid-out, which really makes a huge difference for senior hygiene. They manage a huge amount of conditions and medications with ease and great organization. The move has given us more space to enjoy quality time with mom, which is invaluable.

The solution to our problems
We moved my father to Pleasant Valley at the height of the pandemic, a week after all care facilities were closed to visitors. It was a hard time to transition and difficult for everyone. [name removed] and [name removed] cared for my dad as if he was their family, treated him with dignity and respect, and did all they could to keep him comfortable. He was kept meticulously clean, fed home cooked meals, and received every type of service he needed. Pleasant Valley was the solution that allowed me to stay very involved with his care, continue to work and know that his needs were being well met. We had open lines of prompt communication the entire time. I had researched, interviewed and visited many different types of facilities and I am so glad we went with Pleasant Valley family care.

Can I give 10 stars? How can one put into words the appreciation for finding the most caring, compassionate, and wonderful family to take care of my mother? This home is beautiful, immaculate, and the perfect setting for your loved one. I could not be happier and more satisfied. Mom is treated with an abundance oi respect and dignity, and the level of care is second to none.

We moved Mom into this extraordinary home a couple of months ago. We can truly say that It has exceeded our expectations in every way. Run by a caring, competent, and professional couple with a health care background, they are diligent in attending to all of Mom's complicated physical, psychological, and emotional needs and do so with extreme precision. As a hands-on family, we were blessed to find a home that welcomes us as if we are their family. Mother will be 96 next month and coming out of Covid19 and a very bad nursing home experience we needed to be sure to find an environment with patience, understanding, and love. Pleasant Valley Family Care checks all the boxes!

We couldn't be happier
We put my 93 yr old aunt at this facility on the recommendation of one of her hospice workers. I will forever be in her debt for directing us to this beautiful, clean, and amazingly loving home. Our aunt has dementia and believes she is in a luxurious hotel. We couldn't be happier with her care. We would recommend them to anyone. We hope they are able to take us in when it is our time.

Nursing homes are not the only option! My friend was SO fortunate to find such a beautiful home with compassionate caregivers. They take excellent care of her. I hope they will have room when its my turn!

no place better for mom
i am so blessed to have found the perfect home for my mother. she is being well taken care of by a wonderful young couple with such compassion. they are well educated and have experience with dementia and alzheimer's . I have peace of mind knowing she is well taken care of.

Homey environment
We chose Pleasant Valley Family Care because it is a nice, open facility that was made to care for people. They have their own individual rooms and a common area and kitchen. It is a very clean place. They are very family oriented and feels more like a home and we would recommend to others who are looking. All the meals are home cooked as well.

great place to be
i really love it here. i always know i am cared for and i see the kindness and patience the owner has. even on a bad day she has a smile and a kind word to make you feel safe and cared for.i can not imagine being anywhere else! the food is amazing, the place is always clean and these recliners make me feel like im getting a theater vip treatment. highly recommend this place.
