My dad was in the memory care part of Alegria at the Oaks.I was very impressed with their care, the cleanliness, friendly staff and the administrative staff was very good. They had activities which my dad loved. They had birthday parties and everyone got a piece of cake. They really knew his name every time I went there they knew who he was. It was really nice to see. They sat at tables and chairs for each meal. They also had snacks for them during the day and after dinner. His bed was always made. He was dressed nice with shoes and socks. They had activities like chair exercises. He also liked music they played, some of the nurses said he even danced with them and had a huge tv with a group of chairs so everyone could sit and watch tv. I was happy with Allegria. The week after I moved out of state, he fell and hit his head during the night and he had passed away a little bit later that day the end of August.

My mother loves The Village. She has so many daily activities to choose from. The food options are amazing. Our favorite activity is swimming. The water is perfect. Her one bedroom apartment is very spacious and the courtyards are beautiful.

I am an 81 year old male who has been widowed for the last 24 years. About a year ago I decided it was time for me to move into an independent living facility for two main reasons. Number one I was looking for some additional fellowship and secondly I wasn’t eating properly. Both of those reasons have been more than accomplished after moving into Allegria Village. All the residents are extremely friendly and I enjoy eating and interacting during meals and other activities. There are plenty of activities and things to get involved in.

The facility is very clean and welcoming, that staff is outstanding, show patience and empathy to my brother who is a veteran. The amenities are outstanding, my brother loves the pool and the gym, where he regularly goes to work out. The food is excellent, he receives breakfast and lunch once a day, they also have several restaurants that you can go to with different food choices. They even offer service it need to ensure he takes his medication on a daily basis. I highly recommend the community residence if someone is looking for a residence for their love one.

A beautiful place to live. I have visited quite a few independent living facilities; non quite this nice! You pay nothing else but the month's rent unless you choose to. The rooms are spacious ( I drive a very large scooter and there's plenty of room for it.)There are no rats, bedbugs or roaches to contend with. The pool is not Olympic sized, but will suffice for most people. The food is fair, but most times, I cook my own. This place is the best of all I have seen, for the price!

I placed my sister in Allegria because she has beginning Dementia and still was quite dependant. She has a big studio apartment and has made plenty of friends there! It has great activities and many perks! She loves it and when the time comes for assisted living that just involves a move to another wing within the facility! I highly recommend this place and it is VERY BUDGET FRIENDLY!!!

Staff appears to be shorthanded at this time; there is quite the rotation of the room aids, but the kitchen staff and mgmt. have been consistent thru this first year. I really cannot complain about room size/amenities. Mom is in a shared room which is way different than a single private room. The floors are vinyl tile vs carpet, thus very clean. Rooms/floors are cleaned on a daily basis. The bed mattresses was insufficient for mom as she felt every spring therefore purchased her a "real" mattress (serta), and a mattress bag. She never looked back. Lastly, the staff is friendly, gets everyone involved, are aware of particulars mom needs (aware she wears hrg aids). There are moments I have sat with staff and had decent conversations, so they know they are not just a number, and are much appreciated by mom and the family.

Once I found the shower room with a used towel on the floor and the bottles of someone's scattered on the shelf higgledee piggledee. I don't like the fact that the Memory Cate floor doesn't have a shower in the patient's rooms. 2x per week they have my Dad go down to the shower room. The staff in the dining room are ok but not the friendliest. One was telling a woman to stop talking and eat. ( probably so they could clean up quicker) I reported both incidents. Hopefully it's better now. This was in November 2023. The Dementia care director works with the activities director to keep them busy everyday. My Dad is thriving with that. He also has some friends that are still fairly with it he can talk to in their family room in between meals and activities. My Dad likes that he doesn't have to worry about remembering anything. They come and get him. Someone cleans his bathroom once a week and somebody comes and picks up his laundry once a week. Also, since Allegria is such a huge complex, I've been able to take him to their chapel on Sunday. It's less confusing because it's still under the same roof. When I used to take him to church with us, he would afterwards want to go back to his old home. Another benefit is his primary care doctor comes into Allegria to see him and treat him. Also, there's a woman who cuts hair on Wednesdays and an aide will take him there for that. I do not even need to go for that. All in all it's been great. They even took him on a field trip once to see the Thanksgiving Day Float Warehouse!

I picked this community because of the cost and what is provided within that cost i.e. gym hot tub 3 restaurants with one meal per day provided. My moms unit in particular is beautiful although all the units are not equal. The park-like setting and walking paths are truly lovely, I find it comforting that there is a guard and gate to get in along with a system of checking on residents daily without disturbing them. Furthermore a very nice feature is pull cords in both the bedroom and bathroom. The residents are kept informed of happenings around the building The food offerings are very good with many choices. It is very easy to schedule rides as needed for a cost. So far I have not found any significant negatives. A Place for Mom have been a wonderful and invaluable help in finding a great affordable place for my mom. Thank you!

My loved one is a resident at Allegria Village. Everyone in the facility is friendly and caring, right down to the staff at the entrance gate . They all care and will do anything to make you happy. I never have to worry about anything. The facility is very clean! There is constant communication with all services, ex: hair salon, housekeeping, etc. The move in was easy and smooth. They have wonderful food and a great variety. I would absolutely recommend Allegria Village to family and friends. I would not want my parent to go anywhere else.

We toured Allegria Village during our search for a Memory Care facility for our loved one. Everything on the tour was good. I have not heard 'great' things about their food and it definitely wasn't great during my loved one's stay there in rehab. But our tour overall was great! They were very accommodating and transparent on everything.
