Assisted living communities have the luxury of apartment-style housing and social interaction as well as individualized assistance. Assisted living communities commonly offer outings for organized activity, assistance with the activities of daily life, and assistance with appointments and transportation. Staff members obtain training in a variety of fields. These areas include infection control, emergency procedures, the values of community-based care, and abuse and reporting requirements. This type of community is required to offer a number of services. These include maximize physical functioning, transportation services, assist psychosocial wellbeing, and 24-hour emergency care service.
