Assisted living communities provide care, social interaction, and oversight to individuals around 65 years old. The types of service offered often include assistance with activities of daily living. This screening includes a number of areas of interest such as mental health evaluation, ADLs test, risk indicator assessment, and physical health exam. Public assistance is available through Medicaid Aged and Disabled 1915(c) Waiver program. This community has a number of provisions concerning food and diet which include all food must be in accordance with the Department of Agriculture food pyramid and must provide three meals a day. This type of community is required to offer a number of services. These include assist psychosocial wellbeing, transportation services, maximize physical functioning, and 24-hour emergency care service.
