Part of the Portland-Vancouver metro area, the city of Beaverton prides itself on its beautiful outdoor spaces. The region is consistently ranked as one of the greenest metropolitan areas in the country, with miles of walking trails and bike paths connecting the cities. Beaverton boasts over 100 parks spanning 1,000 acres and 30 miles of walking trails. Public transportation is provided by TriMet, which operates bus routes all across the Portland-Vancouver-Beaverton metropolitan area. TriMet also operates two commuter rail lines that connect Beaverton to the city of Wilsonville and the Portland International Airport.
