Assisted living communities usually offer aid with the activities of daily life, assistance with appointments and transit, and outings for social activity. In select cases, communities may provide continuing care, nursing care, or dementia care. Before a resident is accepted, they must go through a service plan screening to make sure their needs are going to be met. This screening includes a number of areas of interest such as functional needs assessment and assessment must be updated to meet the ongoing needs of the resident. This community has a number of provisions concerning food and diet which include no provisions identified. This type of community is required to offer a number of services. These include personal care services, assistance with activities of daily living, shopping, and chores. Public assistance is available through state Assistance programs for Supplemental Security Income (SSI).
