This community type has a number of provisions pertaining to medication assistance. These provisions include Medications may be administered by licensed individuals or by medication aides , The community must have a medication management plan that is reviewed and approved by the Department., and a licensed health care professionall must annually review all residents medications. This community has a number of provisions concerning food and diet which include Periodic oversight of special diets by a dietitian or nutritionist, bedtime and between meal snacks must be available, and three nutritious meals must be provided each day. Before a resident is accepted, they must go through a service plan screening to ensure their needs are going to be met. This screening includes a number of areas of interest such as develop a care plan with the input of the resident, family, direct care staff, case manager, and health care providers, as relevant and Initial comprehensive assessment .
