There could be a little more sweeping, we do see some dusty bunnies here and there but overall the community is very clean. The staff members are all very nice and very helpful. Anytime we have questions or concerns they happily give us answers and are always very informative. When we first came to tour the community we really liked how they have a nurse practitioner on sight as well as a hair salon and they also do nail trimmings - which we really like because we do not have to take our loved one out of the community to get those things done.... I toured this community and it was great!
Brookdale Beaverton was our second choice out of the many different facilities that we toured. We really liked everything that we saw and the staff were great. This is a community I would recommend others check out.

Brookdale Beaverton felt like it was a little smaller than some other huge ones we looked at and it felt more cozy and personable. She has been getting good care, when I go to visit she is dressed, has her hair combed, and is out socializing in the common areas. She is content here and it has been a good adjustment. She has a nice size room in a good location. They have a different staff member call once a month to check in and see if we have any feedback, so they are actively looking for that to see if there is anything they can improve on and we really appreciate that. Overall I really like the facility and would recommend them to others looking.

About three years ago, our mom became a resident at Beaverton Brookdale for her increasing dementia and inability to live alone in her home. Naturally it was a hard transition, but the staff have been wonderful in trying every way to help her adjust and find ways to keep her engaged in daily activities. As her dementia increases, staff are constantly looking out for her safety as well. I respect the amount of attention they give each resident as there are so many needs and their time and skills are stretched. Many go out of their way to engage and chat cheerfully throughout their busy day, which means a lot to residents missing their families. We are grateful and would recommend this community with peace of mind.

Our mother has been a resident at Brookdale Beaverton for [dates removed] and has progressed to an advanced stage of dementia. This facility is very clean and does not smell. The public spaces are attractive and well maintained. There are a variety of different indoor and outdoor public spaces where residents can gather and interact with other residents and family members. The care team has been very good at keeping mom clean and comfortable. Prior to COVID there was a very comprehensive activity program. During COVID social interactions were curtailed somewhat. The staff managed COVID very well and there was good communication from Brookdale to the families. When mom moved onto Medicaid the executive staff worked with us to manage the transition. We have no complaints regarding Brookdale and do not regret our decision to place mom in this facility.

Our daughter is a nurse and she was the one who did the initial set up with Brookdale Beaverton so it was quite favorable. Compared to others in the area the value for cost is good. We aren't sure what activities our loved one is participating in so we could not rate that, and our loved one tends to be a picky eater and we felt it was unfair to rate the meals.

They were one of my top 2 choices. My tour was a virtual tour due to the pandemic. Brookdale has rooms that accommodate only a twin size bed. The resident's rooms don't include a shower, so residents would have to go to a private shower room.
I would recommend this community to others based on our experience.

I have been very happy with Brookdale. I think that the executive director is just excellent. I'm just very happy with her. I think they do care about the people who live there, and my loved one is happy. When I visit him, he looks like he's well cared for. My only gripe so to speak is I don't think they brush his teeth enough. They're supposed to brush them twice a day, and I don't know if that's happening. And of course you can't ask him. He's very happy with the food. He lost quite a bit of weight when he first moved there, and Brookdale asked the doctor to prescribe a protein drink. He looks a lot better, he looks good now. They keep me informed, of falls and how he's doing after, things like that. So I'm satisfied.

This is better than the prior place we tried before. There are still issues, and I think it might be an issue with memory care issues. I think the one-on-one care could be better. The pandemic also complicates matters.

This facility does not have enough staff, they often leave the memory care residence with only 1 person to watch them. The food is not good and sub-quality. I would not recommend this community to others.

From the moment, we walked in the door, I felt that they would take good care of my husband who has Alzheimer's. He is so content there and I know the caregivers give him the support and care he needs. I do not hesitate in recommending Brookdale Beaverton for people with dementia.

The sales meeting went very well and we were excited to move our father in. The facility is attractive and clean but we were really concerned about his level of care. I think they must be really understaffed. No one could answer our questions and we never even met his care team. Often his room smelled and i'm not sure if his sheets were ever changed. Even though they did offer activities they were usually on the television screen. Our concerns were never addressed so we moved him to a different memory care facility after just one month.

My Mom is here and things are very well. The staff is really good and we’re quite pleased with them. They’re very caring, kind, compassionate, and right on top of everybody’s needs. When you visit, you can tell they’re busy. But they’re always pleasant to work with and really caring with each of the residents. I’ve seen the food and it looks good; there are a lot of different options to choose from and they recognize everyone’s dietary needs. The facility is kept very clean and it looks really nice. They offer bingo, tea time, puzzles, and so much more. The activities director is great and I would rate her a 5 alone. Overall, I think it’s a good value and my Mom is really getting the care that she needs.

I posted a review earlier that was critical about the difficulty entering the building. I am happy to tell you that Brookdale came up with a solution to the problem and I now am able to get in to visit my loved one. The care and atmosphere at Brookdale is excellent and they can fix problems that come up.

The facility is nice, the people that work there seem to care but I have a complaint. When you go to visit a loved one at or around 6 pm there is no one to answer the door. I have waited over 18 minutes with no help getting in and when the visit is over it is hard to find a care giver to let you out of the facility. I think they are under staffed and it is the one thing that I dislike about Brookdale. This has happened many times and it is not acceptable. With the high rates they charge it would seem they could have a person available to respond to patients loved ones.

The administrator who gave me the tour really stood out to me. She was super nice, sweet, and seemed very caring. One thing I really liked about her is that she had a lot of good follow through. If I picked a facility based on the “sales”, I would have gone with this facility. The other side of this tour didn’t go well. I just didn’t get a good gut feeling here. The rooms smelled like pee and it felt like an institution.

Mom is here at this community and loves it. The only thing I have any issues with is that they need more staff at night. The staff is very friendly and caring. The dining area is nice and the food is good. It is always clean. They also have a bus to take them to doctor's appointments and such. The grounds are well maintained. I would recommend this community.
