What we think Bonaventure of Tigard could improve one would be following Dr. orders, putting support hose on correctly, giving alternative call necklace when the other is charging. They could check their call system more often to be sure it is working. Also they could not put a jug of diet soda or ice tea in the middle of the table. Many forget that they are avoiding caffeine or soda. Also not to serve meals in rooms in styrofoam, it would be nice if they could use real dishes.... Read more

Our experience was horrible here. I wouldn't recommend you place your loved ones in the community. My loved one was here for a short amount of time. During the time my loved one was in the community, a family member was with our loved one. The family was having to request that the staff come and care for our loved one. We were told that the community would be able to provide full care, and this wasn't happening. There were times that we had to request the staff come in and sit with our loved one to care for our loved one. There would be meals left at our loved one's door; however, our loved one was unable to leave their bed and the staff knew this. The management team would always make promises but they never followed through on the promises. They over promised and under delivered. Hospice was doing more care and work with our loved than the staff in the community due to the ratios. Hospice was better at caring for our loved one as well. The biggest complaint I have is the fees from the move-in fee to start with, and weekly payments. It was higher than I would have imagined for the short amount of time.

This was an okay community. It was further from family than we wanted.

Friendly residents and staff. They could improve on quality of the food and more staff understaffed.

I toured this facility, the tour itself was great. However, I just didn't get the same welcoming feeling that I got from other facilities that I toured.
I toured this community and it was ok. We were a little bit put off by our tour guide. She was a bit pushy. From what I experienced, I would recommend them as an option for more Assisted Living and not so much Memory Care.
It was not a great tour experience. It did not seem family oriented.
We toured with Bonaventure of Tigard and had a pretty good experience. We did not choose this facility though because when we were walking around, we barely saw any staff or residents out and about.
Our experience has been really good so far, the staff are super friendly and the place is clean
The housecleaning that came in could have used some improvement, I think they did the bare minimum on the resident rooms. But the overall common areas were very clean and beautiful. We had to move in her quickly and the staff were super accommodating and had everything moved and ready for her when she got there. My grandma was very challenging and they did a great job with her and her care. She was on a liquid diet and the nurse [name removed] went out and bought her a bullet blender so she could make a milkshake anytime she wanted during covid. She really went out of her way and we really appreciated that. It was an amazing experience and I would highly recommend Bonaventure to others who are looking. When she passed away, they were so helpful with getting all of the needs taken care of for us while we were going through that very difficult time as a family. They really above and beyond what we ever expected.

my loved ones experience has been good; but along with all the other communities Bonaventure is having issues with staffing retention. the lack of staff has directly effected the level of care my loved one is receiving, as I'm sure it would be much better if they were fully staffed. I would encourage others to look around and visit several places to see how they all compare.
