Assisted living communities arrange residential living communities and assistance to persons who might need a helping hand with everyday activities such as mobility or dressing. The types of service offered often involve support with activities of daily living. Occupants may be kept under observation and assessment. In some instances, communities may provide nursing care, Alzheimer’s care, or “aging in place”. In Indiana, the annual median cost for an assisted living community is around 49,200. This screening includes a number of areas of interest such as evaluation must be updated at least semi-annually or when a significant change in condition occurs, a negotiated risk plan will be established, community will identify scope of care based on evaluation, and A comprehensive assessment. This type of community is required to offer a number of services. These include a nursing diagnosis, executing a minor regimen based upon a nursing diagnosis or as prescribed by a physician, physician’s assistant, chiropractor, dentist, optometrist, podiatrist, or nurse practitioner, identifying responses to actual or potential health conditions, and scheduled transportation for community-based activities. Public assistance is available through Medicaid A&D and TBI 1915(c) Waiver program. Staff must receive education in a variety of subjects. These areas include emergency procedures, including evacuation procedures, records, and demonstration of equipment. This community has a number of provisions concerning food and diet which include communities must provide three meals a day, communities must meet daily dietary requirements and requests, communities must consider residents’ reasonable religious preferences, and meals must provide a balanced distribution of the daily nutritional requirements. communities must consider residents’ personal preference meals may temporarily be delivered to the resident’s room
