They let our families know whats going on before we know whats going on. That is something that I don't like that. The staff are overall great. They are allowing some staff that are not vaccinated and I think it would be nicer if everyone was vaccinated.
I would encourage you to look at this community for your loved one. The staff are willing to work with the residents and encourage them to participate in the activities. The staff try to get preferences of food for the residents; however, they sometimes can't get the food the residents want due to constraints for the pandemic.
Our family was able to have an in person tour, and the facility itself was fine and the tour was fine, but there was such limited outdoors space so there was not much to do and did not really appeal to us.
Out of the two Sunrise communities in the area, this one looked a little older, but both looked like great places. This one was in our top two for consideration. The people there were very nice and very sweet.
Overall it was a very nice community. The staff are great, other than the lady at the front desk. The community is clean, but my loved one's room wasn't as clean as it could be. The food was fantastic according to my loved one. It is a beautiful place.
Liked the facility but a little older. Definitely would be my second choice based on their level of care my dad would receive. It seemed as if the residents were happy there and seemed to participate.
They provided excellent care as well as caring care for the residents. They are very involved with the residents. They always knew what the residents were doing and where they were. My husband was in memory care. My husband did not like the food. The did not have outdoor space for the residents.
My dad is in memory care and they have been very adaptive. They have done a good job keeping the residents engaged. The staff is very friendly. They have become like family. The residents needs come first. The food is amazing, I love it. They have done a good job with Covid-19 keeping everyone safe.
I was impressed with this community and the staff here did an excellent job showing me around, there were a lot of amenities for the residents to choose from. I thought that the rooms were smaller than what I was looking for for my dad and that the community was going to be too big for him to feel comfortable moving around in, But I would definitely recommend taking a tour here,
This is a nice community. The staff has been very helpful to her needs. The community was nice, but we needed a different type of care that they can not give at this time. We liked the cleanliness of the community. They do need to improve the security for the safety. The menu was good and they just need to make sure that the coffee is served to the residents. They had a lot of great activities she enjoyed. We would recommend this community highly for other families.
My Uncle has transitioned well at Sunrise on Old Meridian and he really likes the staff as they are friendly and very helpful. He likes going to the daily exercise classes. My Uncle is very comfortable here and he likes the dining room and menus and other options that are available to him. My Uncle is seen by the resident doctor on Fridays, and they are working with him to make some adjustments on his meds for which they keep me informed on as well. I would recommend Sunrise to my friends and family.
We like this community and the staff who were very helpful on the questions we had The menu looks very good and the dining area was very nice. This is a clean community and I would recommend other families to tour this community for the care of a loved one.
I had a good tour of this community. It was a good experience, everyone was very kind. The community was nice, and clean from what I saw. The staff was informative, and my questions were answered. Everything went well, but unfortunately I found a community that suited our needs better.
My husband and I have lived at Sunrise on Old Meridian for just over 2 weeks and have been amazed by the friendliness and service of both staff and residents. All have made us feel at home. The facility itself is very comfortable with many common rooms on the first floor with cushy chairs and places to meet. The hallways are not "hospital-like", not even in a straight line, with handrails that are unobtrusive but are placed like a chair rail. The food has been very good and a decent variety, no repeats in the 2 weeks we've been here.
I placed my father here for respite with intentions to place. While he was happy the first week there, it went downhill. Aides are often not available or seen during visits which raises concern over the care of a resident if an "episode" should occur. Clothing and bedding that were "laundered" were found to be dirty, soap not rinsed from the articles and still stained. Drawers in common suites dirty. Articles such as glass vases were accessible for residents to use as "weapons" or worse yet as a means to hurt themselves verses being stored away. My father had been transferred out to the ER, due to an incident arising from not getting his medications timely and the family was not notified. He had not been shaved for over a week prior to that nor bathed. Unless you want to manage your family members care 24/7, or the resident can talk for themselves, place your loved one some place else. Not worth the money they demand for their "service."
We really liked this location! The staff and residents we encountered were very friendly and forthcoming with good information. Loved the floor plans, even the studio apartments had ample space. Price may be an issue, though. That's the only reason for the 4 star rating rather than 5.
My mother is in really good hands at this community and I think this place was the perfect fit for her. She feels comfortable and safe in her new living environment and really has made her self right at home. The aids that work there are wonderful and make sure she is well taken care of while she is in there care. The activity director on the memory care floor is also amazing with keeping my mom motivated and involved in different activities. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone interested in an assisted living.
This looked like a lovely community. The people I met during the tour were nice. The staff in the assisted living area check on the residents every two hours. The apartments have less square footage and fewer layouts than the community we chose. We would have considered this community if mom needed more care.
I am thrilled with the care he is recieving...I think it is the best in town, and he has been to many care facilaties.
I'm finding that the personnel at Sunrise Senior Living are going above & beyond for my husband's care. It's a lovely place & they're all so caring. Wanting what's best for Ken. They keep me well informed as to how they're caring for him too. Fine place.
