We had a very smooth experience with the tours, preparation for move, lease signing and move in. No surprises and the staff was actively involved and helpful. After move in we have had some small hiccups with the agreed upon care plan because it seemed like the DON had not notified the staff of the care plan. But that has been worked out over time. We are still having problems with billing but I'm confident it will work out. This is the third facility we have worked with and has by far been the best despite the small issues. They have been so good about getting mom integrated in the community and she loves it.... Read more

Our family had an in person tour and it was a really good tour experience
We were considering going to tour with Independence Village of Carmel. I was speaking with the sales guy over the phone and once I told him we were not interested because the location was too far, he completely cut me off and hung up - didn't give me the time of day after that.

Hi Kelley, Thank you for leaving a review of our community. We are glad to hear that your mom loves living at Independence Village of Carmel and had a smooth experience moving in. It is so good to hear that our staff is living up to our core values and being helpful to you and your loved ones during these key moments. We are sorry to hear about your experience with those small hiccups but happy that our staff has worked with you to figure it out. We can only fix problems we know about so encourage you to reach out to our Executive Director to discuss any lingering concerns. Thank you.
Good community had everything connected to the main building. My loved one wanted to be on their own after touring this community at the time.
This community is fine but they have been purchased by another company and they are understaffed. There have been gaps in food services and medication delivery. Overall it is a nice community but knowing what I know now I would put her somewhere else. They are on their third executive director and the new one is setting in. It will take time for them to get the necessary staffing and to get their act together. Everyone is very pleasant and they treat my loved one well. I would say to give this community some more time to get things together.

I love my new home.
The staff here are all so kind and happy as well as ready to help. I've met so many nice residents that are my friends, the activities are a joy to attend.
My mother is receiving excellent care. The nurse came and stayed for a while we dealt with a massive nose bleed. They encourage her to participate in activities. They even usually know where she is when I show to visit.
Caring staff that put residents first. Beautiful building and apartment.
I'm trying to recruit 2 of my friends to move in here.
This is an amazing community to be apart of.
I enjoy living here.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff.
After living 64 years in my home it was time to leave. My immediate family moved to Carmel a few years ago. I wen to several senior homes and was struck at how homey Independence Village was. My sister and I met [name removed] who absolutely sealed the deal with his warmth and kindness. I have another family here at Independence Village with the residents and staff here.
This is a beautiful community. The staff are welcoming and very accommodating to residents, families, visitors and vendors. Residents of this community are active and engaged. A lovely place!
My apartment is a nice place, home, good food. [Name removed] director - superb! Nice activities - variety. Friendly, helpful staff, especially [name removed]. Like the gym. Friendly, competent therapy staff. Friendly residents, like a good neighborhood. Some hitches (occasional) as happens everywhere. Appreciate car / bus to medical appointments and shopping, etc.
The people and residents are friendly and helpful.
I am very comfortable here
I enjoy most about living here is the atmosphere. I have more friends here than I ever had in my life.
It's a nice place. The care is good. It's not the most exclusive place in the Indianapolis area, but it's a very nice place.
