Five Star Residences of Clearwater is priced is very reasonable. To me, it seemed more like Independent living with some assisted. It's a great facility, just not set up for dementia. The caregivers are fine, the facility is pretty clean, and the activities are great.

Thank you for your feedback. We were happy to read your impression of our team, our programs, the cleanliness of the community, and the overall value. Note that for families needing specialized memory care services we have sister communities in the area that offer Five Star’s award-winning Bridge to Rediscovery Alzheimer’s and dementia care program. When needed we are able to work with families and find a local community that offers memory care services.
From our understanding our loved one seems to be happy with the food, and the rooms and overall layout of the community would be a five out of five.
It is really a beautiful place. They have two courtyard areas, a theater room, a spa room. The food is good. I would like to see them bring in someone to do hair for the residents. They also have a community room where they do a lot of activities and an art room where they do residents' nails.
Seemed nice. Unofficial tour, because manager wasn’t there, also no information on pricing. Floor plans don’t have overall square footage and not completely clear whether dimensions are entire apartment or just area printed in.
we went to a brunch at [Removed] run from a brochure they mailed us so we are moving into that facility.
My mother is doing just fine since her move into Clearwater Commons. We are very happy with them. The food is decent and every time I go visit her, there is no bad smell and the facility is spotless. Mom gets her hair done once a week, and it has been a good experience for her so far.
My mom has very good care since moving in. She was so pleased when we visited that we signed her up that day. Now it has worked out very well. From what she has mentioned the meals are pretty good to her. The activities are fine. They had minor remodeling to do for her room and they finished with no issues. I would recommend them for their location and price. There is value in it's location.
I absolutely adored the staff member that gave my loved one and I a tour of there community. She was very friendly and made us feel very comfortable during our visit. They had a well maintained facility with a lot of great amenities available to all of the residents. It was just not the right fit for my brother in the end decision.
Clearwater Commons is an outstanding community with wonderful dinning. I stayed for lunch! I had a tour a few months ago and it was excellent, the young lady was very sweet. Clearwater Commons is a great community and I will be moving in the near future.
Not licensed and transportation is only available M-W.

I am the Executive Director and I want to thank you for visiting our community. Our in-house services provider, Five Star Home Health, is fully licensed by the state of Indiana. We offer a wide variety of transportation options for our residents. We have transportation available to take our residents to appointments, shopping and frequently visit local attractions as well as take occasional "mystery trips" that our residents love. On Sundays, a local church picks up any resident interested in attending services. We are also willing to assist with transportation in any way we can. Please let me know if I can be of any assistance as you further explore Senior Living options.
Noticed right away the professionalism and friendly the staff were to us, sales staff really stood out to me. They went on above to make our experience a delight. The grounds were very clean and well kept. We will be more than glad to let our friends and family know how much this community goes the extra mile. This is definitely the place we are looking for
Clearwater commons is fine if you or your family member doesn't need any help. Don't depend upon them to give much care. What care they promise you will not happen.

Hi, my name is Richard Robison, the Executive Director here at Clearwater Commons and I wanted to thank you for your feedback. At Clearwater Commons, we are dedicated to providing quality care and peace of mind to residents and families. If you would like to share your thoughts on how we can improve the quality of care, please reach out to me at [removed] and I would be more than happy to address your concerns.
We are relatively happy with them. It's still kind of confusing getting acclimated to the workings of the place, learning when meals are and things, there was no real orientation. I haven't had any complaints about food or staff, or cleanliness, nothing like that.
Facility has a relatively small number of units, and is scheduled for a major facelift sometime this year. The staff seems friendly and helpful. The food is a good solid ok - a lot like dorm food at a better university. Units don't really have any kitchens - dorm size refrigerator. Senior community not active in a Resident's Council respect, but do have monthly "feedback meetings." Located behind a strip mall.
I wrote a May 2014 review below and still feel the same way. I had to move my parents due to my mom's declining health and dad wanted to be near her. They were NOT happy about having to leave Clearwater, as they felt it was home to them. The size of the building is not overwhelming, and people know each other. They loved the food, the room and the staff, especially the therapists and nurses!! In fact, the occupational and physical therapists called me to tell me they felt something "wasn't quite right" with my mom one week. When I went over, I didnt see a huge difference but I took her in to a doc, and sure enough, she had a bowel obstruction which had moved to gangrene! If it hadnt been caught quickly, I feel sure she would have died. The aids did a great job and kept my mom laughing. The activities director does an amazing job with decorations and events. The food is super. The location was convenient for me. I thank the Clearwater staff on behalf of my family for making this a good experience for as long as it was possible. God bless you all. Beth W, daughter of Ray and Jane.
This past summer my Mother took a turn for the worse. Surgery and a stint in a local senior rehabilitation center made us realize that she would no longer be able to live alone. We were given short notice that the rehabilitation center would be releasing her and so I went on a flurry of visits to local assisted living communities with the help of A Place for Mom. Clearwater Commons Senior Living Community was my fifth stop. All it took was an hour of touring, visiting with the staff, and talking the particulars of my Mother's situation and needs to know that this was where I wanted her to live. A few days later I brought my sister to tour and talk and we set the wheels in motion to move Mom to Clearwater Commons. Over the next two months my Mother experienced some issues and the rehabilitation kept extending her stay. In the meantime we had possession of her apartment at Clearwater Commons and were able to furnish it and have it ready for her arrival. She got to tour the facility and have dinner in the dining room so she knew where she was going and liked it. The staff was flexible, helpful, and the first to offer to help in any way they could. They made everything so easy for us. Everyone there was friendly and open. They would often stop to introduce themselves and ask my sister and me about my Mom and when she would be coming to stay as we worked to get her apartment ready. Unfortunately she died a couple of weeks before she was scheduled to leave the rehabilitation center and move into her apartment. I cannot praise the staff and residents of Clearwater Commons enough. They made us feel like part of the family and that extends to the atmosphere of the place. That's why it was such an easy choice once I visited. I would recommend Clearwater Commons to anyone looking fo r a comfortable, well managed, and friendly place for a relative, friend, or yourself. I know when my time comes to consider assisted livie, if Clearwater Commons is still part of the Five Star Senior Community, they will be top of my list!
Liked it better than Mom, so impressed with who showed them around, good camaraderie with the residents.
A good place to live. The food is good and there are good selections. Overall attentive staff and care givers. Would recommend to others. Great location and small facility.
Clearwater is a good place for older individuals to live. It is always friendly and well taken care of, The food, according to my mother, is great and she likes ordering off a menu. The care givers generally are attentive and caring. I would recommend this based on size and location.
