Independent Living

For those who wish to live primarily without assistance but wish for the convenience of having daily tasks and responsibilities maintained by professionalls, an Independent Living Community may be the perfect fit. Meals, leisure activities andhousekeeping are handled for you while you are free to use your time as you desire. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to live among peers, surrounded by others of similar age groups and backgrounds. Residents’ quarters consist of a private living space with their own kitchen. The independence of apartment life is still enjoyed, offering an opportunity to socialize with guests and visitors in a private and personal setting. While policies vary between locations, many residences allow pets as well. If medical or nursing care is desired, residents may always enlist the services of private health care professionalls. There are a number of expenses and advantages to keep in mind while choosing an independent living community. It is important to determine if these amenities are included in your plan: move-in fee, initial assessment fee, utilities, parking, Waiting list deposit, field trips, private phone, and internet access. The benefits that pertain to independent living include community activities, concierge services, game/TV room, fitness center & swimming pool, laundry service, transportation, healthcare center, and security guards.
