Independent Living

For those who desire to live primarily without assistance but would like the assistance of having daily tasks and responsibilities maintained by professionals, an Independent Living Community could be the perfect option. Seniors can live their lives as they wish while their food is prepared by a professional chef, housekeeping and laundry duties are taken care of by staff, and recreational activities are organized and scheduled. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to be among peers, in a community with others of similar age groups and backgrounds. Residents' quarters consist of a private living space with their own kitchen. The independence of apartment life is still enjoyed, offering an opportunity to socialize with guests and visitors in a private and personal setting. While policies differ between communities, a number of residences allow cats and dogs as well. If residents decide they would like to utilize the services of private health care professionals, they always have the option. There are a number of expenses and advantages to keep in mind while determining an independent living community. It is important to learn if these amenities are included in your service plan: meals, initial assessment fee, parking, internet access, Waiting list deposit, transportation, move-in fee, and cable TV. The conveniences that pertain to independent living include security guards, private rental hall, healthcare center, fitness center & swimming pool, transportation, restaurant-style dining hall, game/TV room, and laundry service.
