Before a resident is accepted, they must go through a service plan screening to make sure their needs are going to be met. This community has a number of provisions concerning food and diet which include prepare meals and snacks based on the Food and Nutrition board’s recommended dietary allowances, provide three meals a day, and maintain a standard of food preparation that meets the needs of residents. There must be one toilet for every 1 residents and one bath or shower for every residents. In total, there can be no more than 2 residents to a room. This type of community is required to have a staff member on duty 24 hours a day.
