Preferred Care at Home

Preferred Care at Home took care of my father for a year. I cannot say enough about this agency. I was able to keep him out of the nursing home and provide care in my home. The owner [name removed], took the time to get to know our family before placing Aides with my father. We are very grateful for the care these ladies took. Whether appointments, meals, bathing or keeping him busy it was heartwarming to watch how they loved him. The Aides became apart of our family. If you are looking to keep a loved one home this is truly the agency to work with. It is a very difficult time and decision [name removed] made this easy. I am very thankful for the treatment we received from Preferred Care at Home.

We were not happy with the company of this service. The caretake comes to the home and give assistance with personal care and lite housekeeping responsibilites that are needed for his care. We would recommend this service for getting someone to come to the house when needed And we would recommend the care was taken that is helping us with excellent care.

We are very happy with this in-home care service. They were very friendly and helpful in finding us someone to come to the home for care. We like the caretaker who is very nice and respectful. She is always willing to help with the household items that we ask and she has been a great help. We would recommend this service and the great assistance we have received here.

We had a very good experience with this home care agency. My father was well taken care of, and he no longer needs the home care. I was satisfied with everything they did for us. Our caregiver was great. She showed up on time, was very caring, and kind. The agency was easy to work with, and were quick to respond to any of my questions. When my mom’s aide suddenly left without notice, we were desperate to find a replacement. After calling around to multiple places, [Removed] (Preferred Care at Home Owner) was the only one who responded immediately and came right away to meet with us. She was calm, helpful, understanding, and accommodating. We signed on and have been very pleased with their continued support and patience. This community that my love one goes to for activities is great. They have so much going and my loved one really loves it there. This is a place where my loved one can make friends and still have things to do just like before. My loved one is super happy here and I really like it as well.

They have been phenomenal. I really couldn't say more about them. They have given me such peace of mind since I am unable to be there myself. The girl they sent out watches my dad like a hawk, and it's good to know that there is someone caring for him the same way we would.

Everyone at this agency is dedicated to helping my sister achieve her goal of living independently. From the owners to the caregiver we have chosen, they go above and beyond. In the beginning of the process, we had a little glitch to overcome, but it was done easily and professionally. Our caregiver is wonderful and meshes well with my sister. We have nothing but great things to say about this agency!!We should highly recommend them to anyone- they communicate and work WITH us.

It has truly been a wonderful experience for us with this home care agency. My mom really loves Sandra the care giver. She does an amazing job of caring for my mother and her needs. It has really taken a lot of stress of me knowing she is in good hands. My mother really enjoys her company. A place for mom was great with all the help they provided.

From the very first phone conversation to the in-home interview to develop a care plan, Preferred Care has been very caring and professional. They also frequently check-in to make certain everything is okay. Thank God, we haven't had any emergency situations so we haven't tested them in that type of situation. I would recommend them to others.

So far, the only thing I could say is that I wish wholeheartedly that we had contacted this company sooner than we did! I found Preferred Care At Home, through the website, A Place For Mom. Ok, REAL TRUTH: My mother, a four year Alzheimer's patient, living at home with her equally aged 80 year old beloved husband--he was doing everything! He literally wore himself it taking care of her. Then she fell, breaking 5 ribs. The day she was being transferred to the Rehab Crenter, my adored father had a massive heart attack at THE FRONT DOOR OF THE HOSPITAL. Three surgeries and 6 days on life support, there was nothing more they could do, and he passed. Unbelieveable agony. After leaving my husband at home alone, I took care of my mother for three months. I am disabled physically and it was extraordinarily difficult. Home Health Nurses visiting, Home Health Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapist, all came to the house, and her meds, doctors appointments and EVERY other thing, I did. It almost killed me. Before finding this company, I had my own business to attend , contacted another "care" company, only for the "caregiver" say "Oh, so this is who I'm BABYSITTING TODAY!" Directly to my mothers face !! Really?!? Dennis [removed], part owner of a family owned company, Preferred Care at Home, contacted me, spoke with me on the phone and showed that he knew his stuff. When he came to do the evaluation on Mom's situation and house, I felt embarrassed that we kept him there for so long, but that gave him the time to really understand, my mother, her situation and used that info gleaned to select the best, nicest, trustworthy people to take care of my mom, and the anxiety level of my Mother had been the telling of how comfortable, pleased and accepting she was of the caliber of his employees! I wish, if I could, show you the before and after photos of Mom, but this not being a commercial, I'll keep those to myself. You would understand. If I could suggest anything at all for people in the same situation as we, get some in home help BEFORE rather than LATER! It doesn't have to be 24 hours like we had, but help now and then takes so much srtress off them! Don't wait too long getting tangled in your own problems and finally deal with parents adamant to stay in their own home!!! These people aren't cheap, but they take care of your parent like you wish you could, 24/7. And I salute them. Danny [Removed] takes a personal interest in clients and really cares about providing the best care possible. Any issues that have come up have been quickly resolved.

The owner, Danny has worked with us in our most unusually situation. He has worked around our schedules and always there when we needed him. Staff of caregivers are very respectfully and willing to work on any situation that we have or that has come up. I recommend Preferred Care At Home to anyone who is looking for someone to care for their love one.

This Company has provided EXCELLENT 24-HR CARE for my Mom for over a year. I eespecially appreciate how Caring and Knowledgeable Barbara and her staff members are in caring for Dementia patients. So many companies don't specialize in this area. Their Special Understanding has been proven time and again while assisting my Mom during her intermittent periods of confusion. They even interact in ways I am convinced help Mom maintain her feelings of Self Worth and Contentment. When I visit, I always find my Mom clean and comfortable. Everything always appears well taken care of. I would highly recommend Preferred Preferred Care at Home to my Friends and Family.

Things are very good with Preferred Care at Home they are really great. My mother has adjusted well with the help and the transition of having new people come in her home but she enjoys it which is a plus. There were other agency's we tired out and they just wasn't trustworthy. I would say this agency is trustworthy and they do what is asked of them. We are pleased with our decision.

Things have gone well with Preferred Care at Home. Their care givers are friendly, professional and efficient. The administrative staff is also very nice and they do a great job with placement. Very nice work.

Working with Preferred Care has definitely made life easier. The caregiver is always on time and very personable. They make sure the rest of us are in the loop which I really appreciate! All in all it's been a great experience!
