First of all, when we walked through the front door, the staff was very welcoming and the place smells extremely clean. There was no odors at all like in most places. I absolutely love the small homey feel of the community. The people that live there were very neat and clean. The staff was very attentive to the elderly needs and were cleaning as the residents would spill something. You can tell that they take great pride in their work and their building. Everyone was very cordial and answered all of my questions. This is a very wonderful place and I think that my mom will be very happy there.

The staff was easy to work with and treated the residents with respect. The facility was kept clean and neat. My questions and concerns were addressed in a timely manner. The move in process went very smoothly. Although I never ate any food there, my wife was not a fan, but that may be attributed to her illness. Mercy House staff performed in a professional and supportive manner when my wife passed.

Mercy House seemed nice based off of our tour experience. The gentleman was very polite. I think we didn't choose it because they weren't equipped to handle my dad's advanced dementia care.

Overall, it's been really good. There are a few things I don't like, but that's just me. I know they're trying really hard, and it's difficult to care with people with dementia. I think one good thing that would help is if their care staff had a little bit more education and training. As far as the food, they've had some ups and downs and some changes in staff. But recently they've hired someone new, and the food is way better. My loved one is actually eating better, which is nice to see. One other another for improvement is the activities. They really don't do well with activities, although they do try.

The staff are very nice and caring. They're not always consistent in their policies though. I've not tired the food, but it certainly doesn't look appetizing. The facility always looks nice and clean, but in the individual residents' rooms, they don't always get into the corners to clean or under the beds. It's not perfect, but then nobody is. But I feel very good about the care they're providing. It's a whole lot better than what I could give my loved one at home.

I would tell others that this is a great place for memory care residents. I think the care community staff that I had contact with was great. Due to the pandemic I wasn't allowed inside. The staff stayed with my loved one during their transition. The care staff was excellent that stayed with my loved one for being so nice, since I couldn't The only issue I had was management, they contacted me to ask me to take my loved one out of the community. They were willing to waive their policy and then they changed my mind and have me pay the bill. They made me pay a 10 day fee due to my loved one dying in the community. They didn't even tell me of the change of mind on waiving their policy until I asked about my refund. Make sure you know of the community fees and rules.

My father has been at Sodalis for a month now. He has had Alzheimer's for many years. EVerything at Sodalis is geared towards Memory Care. They try to keep residents active and in group sessions playing games, exercise, church service, etc. This is the best situation for my father.

I had a nice tour of this community. It is a pretty nice facility with kind people. From what I saw everything was neat, and appeared to be well maintained. The staff was kind, and helpful. They answered all my questions, and the experience was a good one overall.

My friend is doing really good after finding this community. The worry has been taken off of her loved ones after realizing how much she needed to be here. The community has a living room that you first walk into. The environment of a home helps her to do great. The staff also have learned all about her to make her feel comfortable. The staff are helpful and friendly.

My husband was at this community for a respite stay, and everything went very well. We were very pleased with everything they did for us. The community is very well-kept, everything is very nice and clean. The staff was great, they were very friendly and kind. He did participate in a few activities. He really loved the food, he was always looking forward to the next meal. It was a great experience, and I would definitely go back again. I highly recommend this community.

We visited a few weeks ago looking at places for a family member. The community was lively and more important to me, clean. The lady in charge was friendly, knowledgeable about alzheimers and seemed to care about us and what we needed to do. The food looked good and the family member I talked to said they loved it there. Only downside for us is that they are full with a wait list. They do have another place in Temple we can go to if things with my husbands mom gets to a crisis point.

We looked here when we were touring. We were looking at the memory care, and the food in the level two area wasn't very good, in my opinion. I have friends who are here, and they are very happy, and it's a nice place. It just wasn't right for us.

The building is a little older and we were not impressed with this. The people we met were very nice. When we went on our tour it did not seem like an active community. The residents were just sitting around.

Facility has lots of cosmetic issues throughout both homes. Staff tells you what you want to hear but don't always follow through. Facility seems poorly run. Told 2 to 4 hours of activities but seems only to have an hour each day and nothing on weekends.

I was not impressed with Sodalis New Braunfels at all. The main turn off for me was the lack of bathrooms that the facility had.
