This has made it difficult for my mother, because most of her doctors are in the Myers Park area and too far for them to drive her. \nAlso, when my father was in memory care, it was very difficult for him to communicate with the staff in the fact that he needed more help than he was getting. He had a tendency to fall because he couldn't remember that he couldn't walk. He continued to fall out of bed and out of his wheelchair. I'm a RN and the medical team is quick to communicate on any changes they observe regarding his condition. Honestly, the staff has become family. Dad recently required a hospitalization. However on the independent living and assisted living side they take the residents on excursions quite regularly. The staff here are super friendly even with the staffing struggles.
