Located just outside of Seattle, Bellevue offers plenty of cultural opportunities at a suburban speed. For many living in Bellevue, the center of the arts and culture scene is the Bellevue Arts Museum. For outdoor recreation there is the Bellevue Downtown Park which is a 21 acre park that has a 240 foot waterfall and hosts the annual Fourth of July fireworks display. The Mercer Slough Nature Park is a large park within the city that has an onsite blueberry farm and the Winters House visitor Center which is housed in a mansion that was built in 1929. The Bellevue Collection is three different but connected shopping areas in the Bellevue downtown district. These shopping areas provide a dense concentration of shopping and dining.

Both Sound Transit and Metro Transit operate bus routes in and around Bellevue. Sound Transit Express Bus Route 550 provides daily airport service to and from the Bellevue Transit Center. There are plans in place to connect Bellevue to the city of Seattle with the expansion of the Link Light Rail.
