I would advise to run the other way. We took my loved one there because she was starting to forget her meds and it was convenient and close for us. Our loved one was there for a month and she was at the end of the hall. There was a door at the end of the hall that lead to the courtyard and she was scared that someone would come in and hurt her. She did not want to stay in the room because she thought someone was going to get her. We had to come there because they called us and stated that she was having a psychotic breakdown and that she had to leave. We asked if she could move to memory care and they still stated that they could not keep her. Even though they made her leave they still required a 30 day notice from us and billed us for excess months when she was gone and they required the move.
I really like the place. My mom really likes the staff and trusts them which is great. They try to keep the residents active, they have music, have them water plants, etc so they are not just sitting there in their rooms. The administrate staff could be more communicative to the family members about what is going on. They do also have a pretty steep price increase every October. I would definitely recommend to others who are looking for their loved ones.
Our family had an in person tour and it is a very nice facility. We were able to get a good feeling for the place, the staff was very nice and the food looked to also be very good.
No exercise room. Good food. Good personnel. Good quarters. No activities. No TV.
We did a tour with this community and it was very nice. The tour was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They answered all of our questions and gave us lots of information to consider.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. Please contact our Enlivant Cares line at 1-888-777-4780 to elaborate on your experience.
Our family was able to do an in person tour, and the experience was okay because there were still covid restrictions so we were not really able to get a lot of information.
The most difficult thing I've ever had to do is find a place for my mom to live that would care for her & give comfort & enjoyment. Lanier Place has generally been able to fulfill those qualities with the constant effort of [name removed]/Life Enrichment Coordinator & some very dedicated staff members. What impresses me the most is her concern for the residents. I've seen her show up on her day off to help on a situation, stay past time to clock out because someone needed something, try desperately to find entertainers & spiritual support ministers to come in and share their talents & guidance with residents & pre-covid, coordinate enjoyable places to take residents to have fun, shop & feel a part of society. Covid is hard on all of us but the concern & common sense of [name removed] & most of the staff has helped all of us get through this horrific time; from [name removed] helping us follow state guidelines, to using the time to improve the staff & update the building. I value the AL family

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get passed the front conference room as my Dad moved into the facility in [date removed] during the COVID pandemic. From what I can see and from my tour prior to the lockdown, the facility looks very clean and friendly. I'm rating some areas as n/a due to my limited knowledge. I can say that [name removed] has been awesome!! When I met her on my tour, I knew that Lanier Place would be a great family-oriented facility for my Dad. She made me feel at home and ensured me that she would treat my Dad as if he were her father. She has done this every time I talk to her or visit. have also interacted with [name removed] and she has been very nice as well.
I love it here it is like family. I love the size of the building and the people here.
I needed a place quickly last [date removed] for my husband who had fallen and was not able to return home. Having just moved here, I was lost, stressed and unprepared. The hospital suggested A Place for Mom and I called out of pure desperation. The counselor I spoke with understood my dilemma and suggested a few options. I chose Lanier Place because it was smaller, the introduction (via video tour) was most helpful in Covid times and the facility was close to home. I am grateful every day for the staff and management there who work so hard to keep the residents happy.
I appreciate the love I feel every time I go to Lanier Place. The staff that works there seem to be very happy. Most of the staff have been there for years. The staff always greets me with a warm welcome. I have seen many nice communities, but it felt cold and distant. Lanier Place is well kept, and welcoming all the time.
Sometimes the food that they serve is really good, and sometimes it is served cold. The facility itself looks a little run down, and they did allow us to go into the community to move our loved one in, and we were a little disappointed with his room.
Such helpful and caring staff! We had to select a home and move my mother in during COVID-19 quarantine but staff made it as easy as humanly possible without compromising anyone’s health. She says everyone is so sweet to her, loves them like daughters!
Very happy with Lanier Place. The staff is very professional, friendly and love working there. While it has been a challenge to navigate visits and restrictions during Covid, I think it has worked well and their priority is keeping the residents safe. I think the food could be better, but my husband is a fussy eater.
Management needs to come down from the ivory tower and get a good look at what isn't going on. Residents rooms are dirty, carpets need cleaned, trash needs emptying, beds need changed and laundry baskets are overflowing. The menu is the same week after week and the residents struggle to identify what is on their plates, let alone choke it down. Most of the staff could care less about the residents or their needs. They are there just to do the least they can to collect a paycheck on the afternoon shift. The activities director and the day shift seem to genuinely care about the residents, their needs and overall happiness, but that isn't enough.

Hello - we are very saddened to see this. We are not aware of any complaints and just had our Divisional and VP of Property Maintenance complete a walk through, with positive feedback. We are very confident in the thoroughness of all staff members, including care partners and housekeeping. We'd certainly like to hear more about your specific experience, so don't hesitate to call the community directly or contact our Enlivant Cares line. Thank you.
The place always smelled and when my mother was visiting my Dad, a lady fell from her wheelchair amd there was no one there.

Leslie - we are saddened to see this. We staff all of our communities well above state requirements but accidents do happen. If you would like to discuss your experience in more detail, don't hesitate to call the community directly or contact our Enlivant Cares Resident Line. Thank you.
Our experience with Lanier Place has been far beyond our expectations. We had been concerned that my mother-in-law would resist the change from our house to her new home. She adjusted amazingly well, quickly enjoying meals and social events with her new friends. The staff members were attentive and friendly, as well. Any question or concern has been met with a prompt response and satisfying results. I like that Lanier Place isn't too large and it isn't too small. It proved to be the right decision for us and we enjoy our visits, not only with my mother-in-law, but with other residents as well. Lanier Place has become like our extended family.
My mother was a resident here for a short time in 2016. I reviewed several places in the local area. I liked the looks of the place and visited a few times at off hours before deciding. My Mom was moved into the Memory Care side. She has Alzheimer's. She was very active and distressed about being in a new place. She kept going to all the doors trying to leave. They placed an arm band on her to alarm them when she was close to doors. She was always walking around and setting the alarms. About 10 days into her stay she held a door long enough that it opened. The alarms sounded and the staff disregarded the alarm. She was found in the middle of Treble Gap Road by a worker on break. The staff in the "locked" memory care side had no idea that she was missing. We were notified after the fact that she got out but the details were not presented. After talking to several staff members I learned the truth. Some of the caregivers would "Play" ball with residents. It was supposed to be a gentle game bouncing a beach ball around. The staffers were seen beaming the beach balls at residents heads. Doors of vacant rooms were left unlocked with extra furniture which was a hazard. Residents were left unattended in the garden sitting in the sun getting sunburned. Pretty setting and nice space but horrible care. The space is too large for the staff to keep eyes on everyone. My mom was moved after less than two weeks. A memory care center is supposed to keep a loved one safe...not let them escape!
