We love American Village Lincoln lodge. It's actually independent living and just the right level of support. The staff is amazing.
They're not doing well. It's terrible! Every week I'm contacting the assistant director for the simplest issues. Food on weekends is horrible, not appetizing. Staff doesn't clean rooms properly and hallways are not sanitized. The handicap door and one elevator has been inoperable since my loved one moved in. Some of the nursing staff have forgotten to give my loved one their meds and they have to go to the nurses station and request them!

We chose American Village because of the cost and time required before Medicaid assistance was accepted. My first choice was a different facility, but unfortunately was out our price range. American Village was our second choice and my mom has been very happy here. It is an older facility, but located on a nice property. It's convenient to the Broad Ripple area. Very friendly staff and nurses.

The tour guide was cold and she didn't interact with the residents during the tour. The community felt dark.
This is a nice place to stay. The grounds are kept up. I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The staff are friendly to work with if we have questions or concerns. There are lots of activities. Some of them include bible reading, movies, trips to the store, church services, and field trips outside of the community for the residents to choose from. There is transportation for the residents to use for doctor appointments. Fried chicken is the best along with the calm chowder, and shrimp is good as well. There are lots of choices for meals for the residents to choose from.

What really stuck out to us about American Village was the friendliness of the staff members and all of the amenities that were offered. The apartment sizes at the facility are very nice and spacious. Their additional services were great if you take advantage of them. I would recommend them to others looking.

They were very clean in the open areas but moving into the room there were some things we had to clean. The community smells well also This is a really nice clean community and I would watch the billing to make sure everything is right.

My loved one just did not care for this community. It just did not give her the right feel that she was looking for. The tours were excellent and thorough. The community looked clean its just did not fit my loved one.
We chose American Village at the time because they were able to accommodate us and put us on the first floor when we needed it quickly. The room sizes are beautiful, she is very happy with it. My mom has also been very happy with the meals and the variety that they provide. I would recommend this community.

At American Village we all care about each other. The staff cares about the residents and about each other. The residents care about our standard and about each other. It is a loving, caring community and that makes so much difference. We are friends in the best sense of the word.

American Village has provided really good individualized care for my wife. The last several months have been very difficult due to the isolation made necessary by the Coronavirus. Staff has made positive adaptations (reallocation of staff time for more individualized attention to residents and accommodations).

Great care and notification procedures. My cousin has been a resident for about 3 years and my interactions with the staff (from 1000 miles away) has been great!

I have toured this community many times and as much as I love the setting with its own private lake and being in the heart of South Broad Ripple, what has always impressed me is the team at American Village. [Names removed] are dedicated and engaged with their residents. They truly want to help seniors and their families find the best fit for them. Yes, they are proud of their community and they want everyone to love it as much as they do, but their main focus is not about the quick sale or achieving a high census. It is about serving the senior community and they lead with their hearts.

As a former healthcare worker and now as a realtor working with seniors; I have visited many communities over the last 15 years. One of the biggest things that stand out is the staff. Everyone is very friendly and you can feel that they truly care for their residents. They are always putting together fun events to involve the community and their residents. They have a beautiful campus and just says "relax." I would definitely want my loved one to visit this community when deciding where to retire or receive top notch care at their rehab facility.

I first became familiar with American Village when my mother became a resident in Washington Manor (Assisted Living) following surgery in the late 80’s. Before she died in 1991 she always mentioned how glad she was there. I am beginning my 4th year as a resident of the Garden Homes. I have met many nice residents and enjoyed the activities at Lincoln Lodge, as well as the friendly, helpful staff. Am looking forward to more pleasant years at American Village.

I move to A.V.- American Village (Lincoln Lodge- Independent Living Apartments) [date removed] and have been very comfortable in my 2 bedroom & 2 bath apartment. The staff are efficient and caring. We have many great activities including exercise and devotions. We have 2 good beauticians and one also does great pedicures. We have monthly L.L. (Lincoln Lodge) meetings to get updates on changes or new information. We had also had food committee meetings monthly with suggestions or complaints. I have made many good friends here and feel fortunate to call A.V. (American Village) home. Due to the virus, many activities canceled- but with precautions taken at A.V. we feel safe. At 101 years I feel cared for and thankful to be ere at American Village.

I am approaching 4 years at Lincoln Lodge (Independent Living Apartments at American Village). After my husband needed the services provided here, I moved in Independent Living. I could not have found a better fit for me. The staff is very patient, compassionate, and professional. The facility offers many activities and sitting on a lake gives me a mini vacation each evening after dinner.

There are so many things to say. Talented manager and outstanding staff of office workers. Housekeepers keep everything in order. Maintenance men are always right there when you need them. The wall coverings, paintings, and carpets are beautifully decorated — everchanging and lovely. The setting of the campus is unlike anything else. I am so glad that I am here. This may not be Camelot, but it's the closest we'll find on earth. The chef is the best you'll find. I would give 6 gold stars if I could.
