These include crisis intervention, health/safety services, social/recreational activities, and assistance arranging medical/dental appointments. Before a resident is accepted, they must go through a service plan screening to make sure their needs are going to be met. This screening includes a number of areas of interest such as assessment by a trained assessor and a nursing assessment. Staff members receive training in a variety of fields. These areas include emergency/evacuation procedures, characteristics of residents’ disabilities, resident plan of care, and limitations on/correct use of restraints.
