The Cottages Senior Living

My dad is currently a resident at The Cottages at Clear Lake and the experience has been great so far. The Cottages have been very responsive to our needs. My dad is getting the care that he now requires.

The staff seems concerned about the residents. My mother had an Aide that adored her. The communication with the family was more than I expected and [name removed] kept me informed about my mother's condition all hours of the night.

I would give all categories a 5--great place! I wish we had found it sooner! The staff made us feel welcome immediately. The care and love they showed my husband was exemplary--he was not just a number. He was only there three weeks, but during that time he was happier than he had been for several months. He even got back the twinkle in his eyes.

My loved one is currently a resident at The Cottages at Clear Lake and her experience at this facility has been just great so far! The cleanliness and friendliness are great! The staff, activities, meals and care services are great. The value for cost is very good, also. Overall, we are happy with our choice and I would recommend The Cottages at Clear Lake to others!

My dad was only there less than a month before he died. But in that time, the people there were understanding, accommodating, and supported my dad and us as best they could. The amount they charge for such compassionate care is significantly less than other facilities that aren't as nice (such as[ community name removed]). Plus, the building was nice and they had a great design and philosophy there. We regret that we did not start at Cottages to begin with as opposed to the first facility we tried. Oh, and they also were much more skilled at handling my dad's diabetes and doing his insulin injections than the other place we had him.

It was the nicest and didn't have a nursing home atmosphere. They're very kind and caring with the residents. Also, they call and text with updates on mom regularly.

This facility is great. I've never been in a facility that is as "homey" feeling with sofas, recliners and a calm atmosphere- it's very open and bright. There is ALWAYS someone around to answer questions or bring you up to date on your loved one. I've always gotten a call reminding me of special events coming up. Communication with the family is good. Everyone seems to know all the residents and always call them by name. I've had nothing but good experiences at The Cottages at Clear Lake. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

What we really like about this community is the kindness and excellent communication. AN area we think they could improve on is their end dementia. However, if given the chance we would absolutely recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

The Cottages of Clear lake was home for my husband for 3 years. He got wonderful, loving care from the staff. [name removed], the Director, is great to work with. She is accessible and always ready to talk bout whatever you need.

My mother will move into The Cottages at Chapel Creek. It's such a nice facility. They even have several dogs there that the owners died, and they continue taking care of the dogs and the dogs stay there with them. So that's really important to us. And they have a very nice courtyard. The building felt more like a home than some of the places. The staff were all very nice. They actually remembered me from when I visited before, 6 1/2 years ago. That was real nice. They do have scheduled activities every day. They like people to eat in the dining room, but it's not required, and if you have somebody that just doesn't want to eat in the dining room, they can work around that. They have somebody that visits every so many weeks, they come and they visit, do the hair, and then they also have somebody that comes and visits and does the nails. So if you were to want to take advantage of those, you could get it all taken care of right there and not have to leave.

The Cottages of Chandler Creek was ice in that they offer care to any stage of Alzheimer's. This is very important when looking for the right location. You won't have to transfer bc they don't do that or can't care for them. [name removed] did a great job helping me...and always followed up

The Cottages at Clear Lake specializes in Alzheimer's care. My mother was in a facility before where memory care was the 3rd section (they had independent living, assisted living and memory care) and it was fine, but she has improved tremendously with it just focusing on the Alzheimer's care. I feel that they have more activities geared towards the residents and they are able to keep them more engaged. I would definitely recommend to others looking for memory care for their loved ones.

WE had a really nice tour experience with The Cottages at Chandler Creek. The facility and staff were all very nice, but the size of the rooms for memory care were too small. It just did not fit our needs and what we were looking for.

My experience was wonderful. We felt like our loved one was taken care of well. Whenever we had questions or concerns, the staff was quick to provide answers and allay our fears. They treated Dad like he was their beloved family member. Their full-service was a relief, especially Hospice at the end. It was comforting to know he wasn't suffering or uncomfortable. [name removed] [name removed][name removed] the entire staff was great to work with during a very difficult and stressful time. I would make the same choice for my loved one if we had it to do over again.

My husband was at another facility that treated him terribly and they treat him like a king here. He is always clean, shaven, hair combed, freshly dressed, etc. every time I drop in to see him. If you put your family member here, you do not have to worry about them when they are at The Cottages. You will always be informed and updated on what is going on. They still have pretty strong covid restrictions, but it is understandable. I get many pictures from the staff to keep me involved. They absolutely love him. I already recommended them to a friend and her husband is here as well. They are able to handle all stages of dementia and they handle it well - they are just awesome and very involved with the residents. My husband is very happy and we could not be happier. They treat the residents with so much dignity and respect. There are no restrictions for the residents, they are able to walk around and do whatever they would like to do - that freedom is huge for memory care residents. The facility looks like a fancy house and it is very home like. Each wing gets to eat together family style which is nice because it gives them a sense of belonging.

We chose The Cottages because we liked the fact the entire facility is memory care, the staff is outstanding and caring and have been here a long time, and also she was able to take her cats. I cannot say enough good things about them. When I took the tour, [name removed] was outstanding. I was expecting it to be more expensive because of the beautiful facility, care, etc. and it was reasonably priced compared to others we saw. They truly care about their residents and it shows. I would highly recommend them.

This community is clean and smells good. The staff are friendly and my mom seems very happy. We are not allowed in during meal time due to restrictions and I am not able to see activities due to this either.

We chose The Cottages because they are strictly memory care facility and they cover different levels as well. The staff members are so understanding and sweet and handle every situation perfectly. The caregivers were amazing with my dad, when he passed they were devastated and it shows that they treated him just like it was their own family member. They have so many activities provided and something going on at all times. We just love this facility and feel so lucky to have had him here.

The community is open to feedback and will try and resolve any issues. I would like to more staff on hand in the community. The community is very neat and clean and the staff are very friendly. I feel like my loved one is safe and well taken care of. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.
