Spring Oak Senior Living

Our experience from sales to move in to day to day care for dad has been very good. [name removed] from sales was great in showing us Spring Oak and how it operates. [name removed] one of the aides from the memory care floor is very special. Dad likes her and how she takes care of him.

The staff is friendly. There are always activities going on so there is always something to do. Dad would like to see more options on the menu. The studio apartment is the perfect size for dad.

I would highly recommend Spring Oak Assisted Living facility. I chose Spring Oak because of the location, the charm of the historical building, & the affordable price. I was very pleased with the staff I met on my tour of the facility. The residents were friendly. They were clean & appeared well taken care of. The rapport between the residents & the staff displayed mutual warmth & caring. My husband has been there for a year now. The team at Spring Oak is the best! They always take time to answer questions, listen to concerns and reassure me when I have concerns. Having both parents at Spring Oak can be very difficult, but hearing "We've got this" and "It will be okay" really helps during the hard times. I couldn't do this without your help! Thank you for being there!

Spring Oak of Toms River is a great place for respite care. As far as the food goes, I think they need more choices available to the residents and it needs to be served warm.

Very helpful staff and informative. It would be nice to see more employees on staff. They do seem to be stretched thin. Not sure that there are many activities going on in the memory care unit. This is just what I have observed from visits we have made.

I picked this community because it's very close to my house, and I can drop over anytime of day. It's very friendly people that work there.

My sister was a resident at Spring Oak of Toms River for 13 months. She was happy with the accommodations except for the poor internet connection. She was frequently knocked off the Wi-Fi and internet. It frustrated her since she communicated via various computer/iPad apps and social media.

The staff at Spring Oak of Toms River go above and beyond. They will always respond very quickly to my emails. I don't get updates unless I reach out. The housekeeping is good. However, it is an older building, so some areas look a little run down. I know the meals are well balanced, but my loved one doesn't like the food. I would take that with a grain of salt, though. I would absolutely recommend this facility to friends and family.

Our family had an in person tour with the Carolina Gardens at York and we thought it was a great tour experience, but the room they showed us was just a little to small, and another community was closer to our loved ones church and friends. However this was our top second choice.

Everyone is friendly and helpful. For the food, I do think that they could maybe have a few more choices for the residents to choose from each day. I would absolutely recommend Spring Oak of Toms River.

It was a very nice place. Took care of dad well for his short time there. People were attentive and very nice. I really can't complain. My only issue with Spring Oaks was - with my dad in the facility for only 16 days before he died, it would have been nice to get reimbursed for some of the $[removed] one time deposit fee. Unknown to myself, hospice and staff his passing was so sudden and caught us all by surprise. I would have left him where he was if I had thought he would pass so soon. It's no one's fault and I certainly don't hold any ill will to Spring Oaks. I would still recommend them.

I am very happy. We picked this community because of how it looked, and the location. Also, they worked with me on financial level. It's a pet friendly environment.

I’m ava I’m a volunteer at the Elks Home and I absolutely love it everybody there is so sweet, including the residence. The staff is just amazing. In memory care you can tell that the workers actually care just like they do at the Elks Home. I also have a what feels like a grandma that lives there and she loves it.

My Mom is very happy at Spring Oak of Toms River!!! We chose this facility because of the location, cost, and friendliness of the staff as well as residents. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It may not look like the Taj Mahal, but that's not what's important. It's much more important to be surrounded with kind people!

I'm not sure if the meal my father receives is because he can't communicate his choices or they just serve something very basic. Staff communication is excellent. My father receives excellent care. Showers often change of clothes daily. He is constantly monitored. I think the meals can be better. Smaller portions and not much variety. For example, if the meal was a pasta dish you would get the pasta dish and a drink. I am going to address this with them. The place overall is clean the nursing staff and the nursing Director are terrific people. my dad is in memory care and is a handful. They truly care about the people they support. They definitely keep us informed via phone or email.

My wife, who had Parkinson’s disease and moderate dementia, spent 13 months at this facility before she passed recently. She had previously been cared for in two other facilities, and was much more content and better cared-for at Noble in Warrenton. The building is set in a leafy, quiet Neighborhood surrounded by trees, giving it a private, peaceful feeling. She enjoyed sitting in a rocker on the front porch listening to the birds and enjoying the flowers. Her large room had a private, roomy bath and a sitting area with comfortable furniture and cable TV. We liked that the facility was not too large. About 25 residents made up the population while she was there. The human scale of the place allowed residents and staff to get to know each other well. She had some excellent caregivers there. They treated her with kindness and even loving care. There were occasional lapses in care due to thin staffing, but these were exceptions. The place was clean, and friendly

They were very cooperative and pleasant. The staff and people were great. My loved one seemed to be, thrilled about the food/meals. The value for the money is good, and they worked with us make it more affordable, which was very helpful.

Staff took wonderful care of my wife in her final days. Staff checked on her and made sure she was comfortable. We had peace of mind while she was there. Thank you
