Fortunate
Very fortunate for my mother-in-law to find a place she feels she belongs. She has fun and has more friends than she did in her own house. It didn’t take Long for her to feel at home, surprised her family and friends. Also grateful For the staff, who made the transition easier and comforting.

Fortunate

Perfect.
My mom loved Morningside of Concord. She had many friends, enjoyed the activies, looked forward to meals (especially the southern style breakfasts) and was well taken care of (she was wheel chair bound.)

Tremendous Staff
We have closely with this community for several years now and it’s so refreshing to see the passion and dedication their staff possesses. It’s so difficult to find consistency today in senior communities, but they have a number people in leadership positions who have all been a part of this community for multiple years. You feel like you’re home as soon as soon as you walk through the doors and are greeted with a smile. I would highly recommend this community to any family looking for a reputable place for their loved one.

Morningside is a family
Ever since I was able to visit Morningside for a tour, I knew it was a special place. After my mother-in-law took a fall and broke her wrist, I knew that Morningside was exactly the place she needed to be. From the staff to the residents, you can feel the love and the care from all. Truly this has been a great experience for our family knowing that our mother in law has been loved and well taken care of. We have such peace where she is and that she has gained her strength and independence back. Morningside is a family experience and we couldn't be happier!

Tour experience
We toured with Morningside of Concord and we LOVED it and now of course I really wish that we would have waited to see if we could have gotten mom in here instead. They had gorgeous rooms on the ground floor that opened to the courtyard. Everyone seemed nice and welcoming! Again, I just wish we had waited on a spot there.

Compassionate, Caring Place - Highly Recommend
It's been a First Class experience, the team members are caring and professional. My dad is receiving excellent care in a friendly environment They are taking good cae of my loved one. They keep my dad and us informed of his health. They are always available when we need them.

Peace of Mind! That's what comes to mind when I think of the love and care mom is receiving at Morningside. After touring several area Assisted Living facilities, interacting with staff, and observing their interaction with residents, I knew Morningside of Concord was by far our best choice. I am the daughter of 2 resident's living at Morningside of Concord. Every Assisted Living/Memory Care Community is expensive. Try a Commuity when both parents are living there; and are happy. My parent's have their two children handling all their finance's; so both, Momma and Daddy enjoy their lives here at Morningside of Concord. Hey, public, if you want an amazing, caring, Community; drive to Morningside of Concord. Daily living tools such as Medication Management is so important for residents; and a blessing to know your loved one's are getting their daily medication. Residents receive 3 delicious meals a day, 3 snacks a day, and stay hydrated. When anyone is searching for a Community that is terrific with daily living as far as conversation, dressing, eating, grooming, bathing, transportation, housekeeping, and laundry; come here to live; so you can feel and see the care your loved one(s) receive. I personally visit my parents 3 - 4 days a week; and I live in Salisbury and work too. Every Resident is special and every Staff Worker is special. I personally have had moments of crying and multiple staff embraced me with caring remarks that helped me out and I was back to being peaceful. The Residents have indoor & outdoor activities; and Family Night every other month on a Thursday night with a musician and finger food that is finger licking good. Throughout the week, the Residents have a full Activity schedule to participate with if the Resident chooses to participate. My parents love the Activities with the singing; and if you think about it; singing is soothing to my parents due to Dementia. Singing brings a joy to their faces and their inner-selves. If you enjoy playing BINGO, come on and get ready to hollar that famous word. As a group, you can make sausage balls, cookies, muffins with one person pouring the batter in the bowl, one person addig the water, one person adding another ingredient,one person stirring the batter, etc. It's just a "team effort." Even the mailboxes are special for my parents; with my Daddy, a 32 years of service Postmaster; the mailboxes are the closed-in boxes to where nobody can reach in and get other resident's mail. My parents have lived here for 3 plus years. My brother and I do not have to worry daily about their day to day living; as we did in the past. So come and live your life here at Morningside, the care, love, atmosphere is totally awesome.

WARNING!!!!!
PLEASE do not put your family member here!!! At least not in the Memory Care part. It has a good "first" impression, but do not be fooled!!! The focus is money and making sure the staff/facility is shielded from ANY liability from anything!!! The minimum is done for the residents! The calendar of activities is a joke and is rarely carried out. Residents are left in the dining room from one meal to the next! NO attention to detail for each individual resident! I could go on and on. If I can keep ONE family from putting their loved one there, then this review will have done it's job!

Very nice place!
Morningside of Concord is a very nice place, overall. The facility is clean and well kept, and the staff is friendly and professional. I've had some experience with other communities in the area, and Morningside is definitely on the high end of the scale, although it is also one of the more expensive options. They do a particularly good job with the food, which is an important consideration if you're looking for a permanent residence!

Wonderful!
We moved our family member here after a very unpleasant experience with another community, and it has been amazing so far. We haven't found anything wrong with it! The staff has gone above and beyond to help us and make things easy for us. They are very caring and giving. The food is phenomenal and the community is beautiful. Our family member has been there just over a month and has loved it. Definitely check it out!

Did tour on Wednesday, Feb 26th; pleasantly surprised, especially with the memory care unit should Mom ever get to that point. This would be the top Charlotte area contender that we have seen for that. The Assisted Living section is also nice but not quite as good as Sunrise on Providence

Wonderful people and place
I have been on the search for over 8 months for an assisted living facility that I thought my mother would like. She is not picky, but as her guardian, poa and executor and nurse-daughter I was picky. Morningside was wonderful. Aside from the beautiful facility, low staff turn-over and competitive pricing, they were quite patient with us as we made our difficult decision. Mother has moved, settled in and is participating in the numerous activities. She needed large print books, in they came via several sources. Everyone from the top down has been super-patient and kind and re-introducing themselves as many times as necessary. And the food has been great--according to the southern cook.

Not a social place
I was not pleased, it was kind of a cool atmosphere, as a matter of fact, I shared with the one in Gastonia that I could have stood in the hallways with a shot gun and fired down the hall and not hit anybody. That's scary when you see a lack of socialization like that, all the doors closed, no doors open, not a friendly, outgoing place although the staff seemed to be friendly and outgoing, they just didn't ahve a resident group that factored into that.

I originally chose Morningside of Con...
I originally chose Morningside of Concord for my mother because I was told at the time it was the only home offering a sliding scale but I've since learned that they are NOT the only ones who do that, so I'm not happy about that.
They also chose to move her from assisted living to a senior care situation without consulting me, and I'm my mother's power-of-attorney. Then I got a $9500 bill after they didn't bother to clear the check that I sent them.
