We couldn't be happier!

Our aunt was living at another community and she was very unhappy, so we looked around at several places and somebody recommended that we look at Cardinal Village. From the first phone call we could see (feel) the difference. The woman that we spoke to really took the time to listen to us and hear what we were saying about what we wanted for our aunt. From our first visit on everyone was so friendly and helpful. We saw activity and people out and about and doing things. We knew this was the place for my aunt to call home. She has lived at Cardinal Village now for a coupe of years and has moved from Independent to Assisted Living and it fills our hearts to know how well she is taken care of and truly loved by the staff. If you are looking for a loved one don’t look any further!

Best Place for Dad

We moved my dad here several years ago after my mom died. He was very lonely and we thought that it would be good for him to be able to do things with his peers. We looked at several communities and thought that Cardinal Village was the best choice. The rooms were very large with wonderful screened in patios. Everyone was so helpful, friendly, caring and accommodating and you got such a warm feeling when you walked into the building. You could see that everyone enjoyed living here and that they were well cared for. My dad has thrived living at Cardinal Village. We are so glad that we made this decision to move him here. We would highly recommend this community if you are looking. We can't say enough good things about everyone & everything.

The Cardinal Village Community is like Family to me.

I would have NEVER imagined that I would feel so connected to an Independent retirement community let alone an Assisted Living community. I learned, along the way, that I was not alone. My mom’s lived in an Independent Living apartment at Cardinal Village for about 9 years, She moved in to Assisted Living Studio for 2 years and a little less than two months in hospice until her peaceful passing. There were many times that I questioned myself, if I was doing the right thing by caring for my mom in her own apartment and then in Assisted Living at Cardinal Village and not in my own home. My mom was a vibrant and witty person that enjoyed going out, playing bingo, having friends and family around her for fun, going to church on Sunday, and cooking. As long as she was “heading out” someplace, she was happy. Cardinal Village provided all of that and she enjoyed all of it. I’m so grateful that I had such support from the many “teams” at Cardinal Village and all that they did for my mom. I am deeply appreciative for the comfort and care that my mom received. My relationship with my mother was so special and along our journey together, I took care of my mom but the staff at Cardinal Village helped ME. This was MY mom and I wanted to care for her but I needed assistance. The medical healthcare assistance that I got during my mom’s stay in Assisted Living gave me “daughter time “so that I could still enjoy “special times,” “holidays” and many types of parties and shows planned in the village. I cherished every moment with my mom. When I moved my mom in to Assited Living, the nurses and healthcare aides took over the medical care I had been giving to my mom for over 9 years. I was able to lean on them for all of the daily activities of living that my mom needed and could enjoy my mom’s company without the mentally draining medical and physical work necessary. They provided opportunities to keep my mom interacting with other people and engaged in something, anything, at every level of her decline physically and mentally. It’s so important to analyze what’s happening every day. It’s so important to have physical nurses and home health aides that are experienced, knowledgeable, caring, and well rested before their “shift.” At Cardinal Village there are so many teams that work together seamlessly as they change shifts around the clock to give the right care the right time 24/7. I couldn’t care for my mom for 24 hours a day without the help and support that WE both needed throughout her life journey. There are so many twists , turns, hills, and valleys but the many “teams” at Cardinal Village kept my mom safe and cared for. I keep saying “teams” because this community isn’t just filed with a great team of caring nurses and home healthcare aides. There is a wonderful “Activites” and “Transportation” team that do their best to keep the residents engaged in life, inside and on outings. Being engaged in life is key for seniors at any stage. The “dining” team are the secret agents that don’t just cook in the kitchen, take menu orders from residents and serve healthy meals but they have their eyes and ears open to report any changes to the aides and nurses. There is a maintenance team and a housekeeping team that keep the environment well kept, safe, and clean. And above all, there is an Administrator that oversees every department and has daily meetings with department heads and is kind and very professional. [Name removed] you became a friend and family to us and I am so grateful to you for your high quality of compassion and the interaction you have always had making yourself available to welcome us. From the top down, the community is as welcoming as a real neighborhood should be to all that live and visit. When families get involved in the daily care of the residents there is no question that this retirement community takes pride in what they do and they know their stuff. The state rules and regulation are followed to the letter. They are professionals. There is also a wonderful in-house therapy team that keeps everyone moving their muscles and minds at all capacities. Well known heath care companies like Bayada and Moorestown are usually working with the residents and can be found daily working their magic to keep the residents that need it, able to rehabilitate, even if it’s only slightly and so that life is enjoyable even with infirmities. The wellness center has regular Doctors and specialists that give the same service as you would get if you were going to your neighborhood Doctors and Specialists but it’s more convenient because it’s “in the community.” In my opinion, from my daily interactions with all of these teams of caregivers, I saw them take pride in what they do and treat each resident with the dignity they would want for their own family. Cardinal Village does not have a “memory care” unit but they can handle residents that are still under the NJ state regulations for assisted living care. I say this because YOU always have to analyze what’s happening when it comes to the many types of dementias and if “memory care” is needed for an Alzheimer’s patient that needs more care because of specific behaviors please keep this in mind. I’ve seen patients that have had to be asked to move out because they were a danger to themselves or others due to certain typical Alzheimer’s behaviors. Cardinal Village professionals are always there to give you the information needed to seek the help and support that is necessary. Staying involved daily in my mom’s care has given me the peace of mind that I needed as a daughter and Cardinal Village turned out to be the extended family that I needed on my journey to care for my mom, especially at end of life. My mom passed peacefully, in her room, in her own bed, with loved ones and the Cardinal extended family there to fill the room with the love that has surrounded my mom and myself throughout these many years. I am so grateful to all of the teams at Cardinal Village and would recommend that you analyze what’s happening to your loved one, tour, visit, ask questions and see for yourself that this is a place you could depend on to assist “YOU” with the care of your family member. My mom always enjoyed life and I believe her legacy is that she never looked back at what she could no longer do because of physical disabilities but she found ways from the MANY ways available to continue to enjoy life until the very end. I miss my mom dearly and I will never forget the loving care Cardinal Village gave to my mom and to ME. You will all continue to be a part of my life and memories as you have kept me strong and able to balance life as best as possible during every part of the daily maze each of us face in life. May God continue to bless the work of your hands and may you know that what each of you do really is appreciated and recognized. I don’t have any regret and recommend Cardinal Village to family and friends.

A truly extraordinary facility

Heritage Hill Senior Community offers an amazing sense of community where you could not help but feel right at home. Their staff has such dedication to their residents that you can see how much of their heart and soul is put into making each patient and loved one feel valued and special. I could not recommend a facility enough to a fellow peer searching for the right placement for themselves or their loved ones. A facility that goes beyond extraordinary.

I've lived at Cardinal Village for many years and I'm very happy and satisfied. I have a very large one bedroom apartment with a screened in patio and I brought all of my things from home. The food is very good. There is a library, lounges, a chapel, a movie theater, they have a beauty salon and they do activities every day. They have transportation to all different places. I checked some other places and this was the best places for me. I am so glad that I came here. They have cards, Bingo, movies and so many other things to do. The value is great. I have made a lot of friends.

Everyone working at this facility is kind and caring. My mother is very happy and content at Heritage Hill. She receives excellent care and tells me "the staff can't do enough for me."

Couldn't be happier

My grandmother has lived at Cardinal Village for 3 years and we couldn't be happier. She's safe, well cared for and happy and that was what to mattered to us. Her quality of life improved so much when she moved to Cardinal Village. The staff is so loving and caring. I just can't say enough good things about Cardinal Village and I would highly recommend.

The Right CHoice!

We want to thank everyone at Cardinal Village for the superior pig roast & luau last evening. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously! Everything was superb! It is obvious to us how much work it took to put on this event and each component showed dedication and professionalism from the staff. This evening and our short time here has only confirmed our choice to retire to Cardinal Village as the right one. We appreciate everyone's kindness and acceptance of us. Also we are very happy to be making true new friends. May God Bless you and all of your residents.

I had the pleasure of visiting this facility with my son. The staff that I have met have a cheerful and genuine way. If I ever needed to be in a facility it would be this one. Well maintained facility.
