Arts, Culture, Entertainment, and Recreation

Olathe has plenty of options for recreation, and will appeal especially to history buffs and those who love the outdoors. Among the city’s many museums and historical sites, one can enjoy a taste of the town’s 19th-century pioneer history at the Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop and Farm. The Old Olathe Naval Air Museum has a large collection of military memorabilia spanning the history of U.S. naval aviation. The Ensor Park and Museum is a centuries old dairy farm that has been converted into a museum. Olathe is also home to The Museum of Deaf History, Art and Culture, dedicated to celebrating the experience of deafness while promoting deaf arts and cultural contributions.
