Independent Living

For seniors who desire to live primarily without assistance but would like the assistance of having housekeeping handled by professionalls, an Independent Living Community might be the perfect choice. Meals, leisure activities and housekeeping are handled while you are unencumbered to use your time as you prefer. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to be among peers, surrounded by others of similar ages and interests. Within the individual units, residents have access to a private living space and a full kitchen, and can even live with a companion if they prefer. While policies differ between communities, numerous residences allow cats and dogs as well. If medical or nursing support is desired, residents may always enlist the services of independent health care professionalls. There are a variety of expenditures and advantages to consider when determining an independent living community. It is important to figure out if these services are covered in the plan: utilities, private phone, move-in fee, laundry, transportation, parking, Waiting list deposit, and field trips. The benefits associated with independent living include fitness center & swimming pool, security guards, game/TV room, healthcare center, private rental hall, community activities, restaurant-style dining hall, and laundry service.
