The tour itself was great. But their community was significantly less active than the place we chose There was no one walking around, and no one in the eating area. It was just very empty. And it did not sell my loved one on making the move to assisted living.

May 18, 2022Thanks for the thumbs up, Teresa! We appreciate it. – Team Enlivant
During the week is pretty good, but the care crew on the weekends was subpar. Appearance-wise, it seemed to be clean and a good facility for as small as it was. Cost was a main reason why we left. They got us in at one rate, and then bumped us up a care level as soon as we moved our loved one in.

November 17, 2021Thank you for sharing your feedback. Our personalized pricing structure is based on the care needs of the individual, and we aim to be as transparent about that as possible. Do not hesitate to call us directly at (317) 315-5294 if you have any further questions. Thanks!
The staff members were all really friendly, however the value for cost is not worth it. Our loved one went in for assisted living level of care, completely ambulatory and within about three months is now skilled nursing care which completely devastated our family, especially with the finances. The care services at Willow Lake Place were completely non existent, our loved one was left in bed for hours which caused huge bed sores, and they never kept up communication with our family regarding anything with our loved one.

Response from Willow Lake Place
September 16, 2021We would like to offer you and your family our deepest and most sincere condolences. We are saddened to see this and understand your concerns. Our personalized pricing structure is based on the care needs of the individual, and we aim to be as transparent about that as possible. Our team is dedicated to meeting our residents' needs as they are always our #1 priority. Don't hesitate to call our Enlivant Cares line at 1-888-777-4780 to discuss the matter further.
The room the community had available wasn't the room our loved one wanted. Due to my loved one not needing medical care, there would have been an additional costs. The people were friendly in the community.
Our experience was only for a week, but during that week the staff really did try to help us out and work with us. It was pricey but there are other communities in the area that are more expensive that do not give the residents the correct attention.

We chose this facility because it is a sister facility to another one that we originally looked at. The other facility did not have any openings for respite, so they steered us to Willow Lake Place. I thought that it was conveniently located, when I got off work I could stop in to see her. I would recommend to others who are looking, my mom really enjoyed it.

Too much like a nursing home with that smell. Only have assisted living and the apartments are very small.

The staff changes frequently. They are caring... But, the food is terrible! Enlivent corporation, the parent company will not authorize healthy options. They serve the same cheap unhealthy meals over & over again. The clients complain all the time & nothing changes.

This is a great community! When I think of what makes the great I think about several things. First the care and concern that comes from the employees. The aides are truly kind, compassionate and competent. [Name removed], [name removed], [name removed], [name removed] and [name removed] are names that come to mind. They extent their care and concern beyond serving drinks with food. Second, the administrative staff have an open door policy and an open mind when I have a concern. Third, and last, I appreciate that my mom can go out on scenic drives to lunch. Sending an aide to assist those who need extra help is helpful. It wouldn't be an honest review if I didn't offer some suggestions. During meals and when getting the residents up for breakfast and to bed, three aides are needed. When only two aides are working residents have to wait too long to be helped and if someone needs help going to the bathroom during a meal then it makes it real difficult on the staff left in the dining room. Several residents also need help to stay at a table or to help them eat. If it was your mom or dad you wouldn't want them waiting to go to bed or to the bathroom, would you? My last suggestion is to offer more structured activities on the weekend. The residents are restless. A scenic drive would be nice. Thank you for all you do and hopefully this review will help you improve this great facility and make it even better.

Caregivers engage residents, encourage participation and help those unable to do things themselves. I've witnessed many times over the top care and compassion for those needing help. Very nice fit for our family.

In July 2018, I helped my ill, estranged brother find an assisted living facility. It was challenging because I was not knowledgeable in this arena. The Executive Director and Sales People were amazing. They guided me with knowledge, compassion, patience and caring. The residents are treated like family. The staff really cares about everyone. Even the Administrative Specialist who greets everyone as they arrive or leave is friendly, helpful and uplifting. I was a little skeptical at first, but this kindness and family attitude has continued as we start my brother's eighth month there. He has improved since he moved in because of this incredibly positive environment. There are monthly dinners that family members can join in for an evening of dinner together followed by music. Anyone who lives at Willow Lake Place is very fortunate to have such a beautiful facility surrounded by caring and loving people.

We placed my father-in-law at Willow Lake Place when strokes made it impossible for us to care for him at home any longer. He got excellent care and attention there. It is a beautiful facility and the staff knows each resident, and the residents are encouraged to be out of their rooms/apartments and participate in all the activities that are arranged by the staff, including weekly outings to restaurants. I was very impressed with Willow Lake Place and with [name removed] in particular

Willow Lake is a place where the staff not only takes care of your loved one but they care about her/him. Most who work here can step in and do other jobs and they do that regularly. It is a happy place!
