  • The Village At Buckland Court South

The community was always very nicely taken care of. The staff was exceptionally friendly. They know everyone's name and very helpful and caring. The care for my mother has been excellent. They have been very accommodating and they clearly go out of their way to care for the residents. The nursing staff and the director is excellent! The food is great and I personally don't mind eating there at all. During the Covid-19 pandemic, they have been delivering the residents' three meals a day to their rooms.

  • Very impressive all around

The community is very clean. The dinning room staff is very congenial to my sister and are very friendly with her and she has commented on this several times. The times I was able to visit it was very pleasant and I thought my sister was being well taken care of. The food was very good and the portions are a bit smaller, which my sister likes. She also likes that you can go back for more but it wasn't too much all at once. They are also very accommodating with the resident's preferences in terms of the food. The activities were also great and they had good variety. I was impressed with what they offered. When we toured, the tour itself was wonderful and we were treated to lunch. They were very accommodating and they even followed up with my sister and kept in touch with her. They visited at her home and made sure she was comfortable with moving and eventually, she decided she was ready to move.

  • Very compassionate Care

My mom has been here about 3 weeks now. We came here because her previous assisted living/memory unit insisted that she needed a higher level of care and that we needed to hire a private duty aide 24/7 on top of a two person assist and hoyer lift or explore skilled nursing. They said she was combative and aggressive during care. We thought she was scared because they were rushing. We thought that a third person was extreme. She weighs about 110 pounds. Fast forward to The Village at Buckland Court. My mom is very happy there and says "everyone is so nice". They haven't seen any aggressiveness or combativeness. The reason seems to be that the staff are better at what they do, they care and have compassion. We thought the other place was just falling down on the job and we were right. In addition to not needing a third person they are no longer needing to use the hoyer lift for her 😃. She has improved so much in just three weeks. You can feel the good vibe as soon as you walk in. It's a great atmosphere. They really do care. The communication with all the staff is nothing short of fantastic. The food is great and the variety is fantastic. My mom is very very happy with the food and we couldn't be more pleased with her care.
