Good community, it was further from family than we wanted.

My aunt has been there for a couple of months now, I believe she is reasonably happy. She said she was speaking with some of the older residents and they informed her it is getting worse, which has her nervous. We as our family have absolutely no complaints and are very happy with our choice to move our loved one into Stonebrook Village at Windsor Locks. The staff has always been warm, welcoming , caring and very friendly to us.
They do not listen to families concerns and they are rude when you talk to them, especially the nurses and they are not respectful of your wishes. The staff is transient. I would not recommend them to others.

For most part things are good. Have had an issue with scheduling for dr appt. transport. It was missed. An issue with paperwork being delayed for long term care ins. But it did go through. We are working out the kinks. And adjusting. Care is good. Food is good. Activities seem adequate.

Of course you never truly know how a community will be until your loved one moves in. But the person I met with on the tour was very friendly, and the place looked lovely. It was just just too far away from where I live.
We chose Stonebrook Village because of the convenient location as well as we were in urgent need and they availability. I think the staff members seem to be very caring and friendly. I would recommend them to others who are looking.

We chose Stonebrook Village because it was closest to family and the room sizes seemed to be better than others that we looked into, they were also better kept. They have been good with communication throughout everything that has been going on by sending things like newsletters and emails. I would recommend them to others looking.

We chose Stonebrook Village because of the size of the apartments, the proximity to family, and the facility itself is newer construction so it is very clean and progressive. They do have nurses available 24/7 which is a huge plus. I would tell others that I do think it is important for others families to request open communication and talk with them about what your expectations are. I think the facility is an excellent choice for those who are more independent and just needing few services, I think they would be happiest. I would recommend them.

It is a nice place. I believe each experience will differ. The food was good, and I liked it. The atmosphere was nice. It was larger one bedroom with a view. The staff was good when calling to check on my loved one. I was surprised of the additional costs due to additional support staff for my loved one.

It has been awhile since we have been able to go and visit, but when we did visit this community was very clean. The place is brand new, it is a beautiful place. The staff members and director are very very friendly, and the activities they did have before COVID were fantastic. It is also a smaller community which we liked. We also were able to eat multiple meals and the food is fantastic!

The people are wonderful. They are always cleaning; they clean the banisters, the doors, the door knobs and my mother is very happy with this. The staff says hi whenever they see me and they are all very friendly. It seems like my mother is paying a lot as they just switched her from independent to assisted living and it doesn't seem like they have added a lot of care given the price increase. My mother seems to like it here and it was a big change after she moved from Florida. Overall, she really likes the community and seems to be happy here.

Stonebrook Village at Windsor Locks has been a blessing to our mother since Day#1! Sadly, we have had to help Mom move 3 times since my father passed away a few years ago...and each time it seemed she needed a little more support and was still feeling lonely and unconnected...even while living in another Independent Living community! However, moving her here to Stonebrook Village has been nothing but positive! Mom has been thankful and very happy with this move. She always tells me how grateful she is to be here with the attentive and caring staff-- and wonderful "neighbors". Her apartment is elegant, yet cozy! And I love the fact that she can have "anytime" dining here at Stonebrook-- which means that if I come early or later--we can always sit down and get a great meal together! If she feels like breakfast at 10 am she can get it down in one of the dining areas. Mom loves the meals and tells me all the time how deliciously prepared they are. It is wonderful for my siblings and me to feel completely at peace with Mom's living arrangements. We are thankful and grateful ourselves to have her in such, good, kind and capable hands.

My brother-in-law stayed at Stonebrook Village for a short while. When we decided to move him because of unreturned phone calls and poor service, the Director called a meeting with family members, my brother-in-law and the Village's attorney. She asserted that my brother-in-law wanted to stay and could make his own decisions even though Stonebrook itself had recommended that he be placed in their memory care unit. She even refused to let my stepson take him for a walk without a Village employee to accompany them. Hard to believe, but true!

My brother-in-law lived at Stonebrook for a short time. When we tried to move him because we didn't like the lack of service, the lies and the very slow return of phone calls, the director tried to stop us. She asserted that he could make his own choices, even though Stonebrook knew that he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and the facility itself had recommend that he be placed in their Memory Unit.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!! Patients have call buttons that aren’t answered, they aren’t bathed as they’re supposed to be (3 x per week). They get orders from the doctor, which aren’t followed, which I called them on last week!! I pulled out the orders and it was clear as day!! This place is a real DUMP!! Do your research and put your loved ones into a compassionate facility, as this one isn’t!!

Our family has just been through a real crisis situation in which both parents needed immediate intervention at once! Don't ask me how we would have managed without the flexibility, understanding and accommodations made by the very caring and professional staff at Stonebrook Village! From the director, the nurses, the receptionists, tour guides, cable guy and even the kitchen staff, everyone has been exceptionally easy to work with. Two parents transitioning into two different units has been an emotional experience for us. Thankfully Mom is now safe and happy in memory care, and Dad is getting the attention he needs to recover from his ICU stay. Thank you Stonebrook Village!

Newer Facility... after 2 years, they still don't know what they are doing. Would NOT recommend the place to anyone. Don't believe all of the Marketing . Poor Procedures Understaffed Management Covering up serious care taking problems Since opening 2 years ago, entire staff has been replaced at least 3 times. Poor communications with family Food is not what was advertised when they first opened. Call buttons rarely get answered. CNA staff not properly trained or supervised and caused my 93 year old mother to have an avoidable fall where she broke many ribs.
