What sticks out the most about StoryPoint Naperville would be the caring and compassionate staff members. We did have some early communication breakdowns with the [name removed] caregiver team.

Now living 14 months at Story Point. The apartments are very nice and the weekly activities are A-ok! Especially when outside entertainers are brought in to perform for the residents. Bus transportation for medical appointments is super!

Before we signed a contract, everything was amazing and felt like the perfect place. Once they had our money, it all changed. The care services are vile. My grandma has fallen twice, and no one will respond to the calls. The care agents don't show up for scheduled care, and the food has made her and other residents sick on multiple occasions.

Response from StoryPoint Naperville
May 26, 2023Hello, Thank you for your review. We are disappointed that you haven't had the experience that we work so hard to provide. Our team cares deeply about the residents we have the privilege of serving. In order to resolve your care concerns, we would love to connect with you directly. Please call the community and ask to speak to the Executive Director. Thank you!
The staff is wonderful across the board. Very, very friendly and they know the residents. We chose this community because it felt right for my uncle and the cost was agreeable for his budget. The housekeeping is great. The food appears to be good, from what I can tell. Communication with the family is excellent so far. The 4s I gave in the ratings are just because I always feel there is room to grow and build. I would definitely tell people to check StoryPoint Naperville out! They are good at what they do!

We toured StoryPoint Naperville and it is a beautiful facility! The facility is very clean and well maintained. It hit our top 5 priorities and is also close to home! It's actually in my Parents' current home community. We are in the process of signing my parents up to live here. So far, the process has been easy and flexible to meet our needs and time frame.
Our loved one is safe and that is more important to us. We had a problem with lots of rain coming in my mom's windows and [name removed] was not timely on getting repairs done and absolutely ZERO communication. We are still not sure repairs were made but the flooding has stopped so we assume. She is never available to make a meeting time preferring for us just to catch her in the office which wastes OUR time. So unprofessional. This happens on more minor issues too but this was the final straw in terms of having to get something done. One of the two elevators was broken for a month and she did not even apply for the permit to Naperville till two weeks in, which we checked with city about. Otherwise we are happy with the place.

Response from StoryPoint Naperville
March 21, 2023Hello, Thank you for your feedback. We want to make sure you are getting the support you need, however, there is no name listed on your review, so we can't reach out. We recommend calling the community directly and asking to speak with our Executive Director. Unfortunately, A Place For Mom does not allow us to provide contact information in our review responses, so please call us to address any issues that still remain.
[name removed] the sales rep will tell you anything to get you to sign on bottom line. Once that's done she forgets about you. We had to hound her to fulfill her promises. She bragged about chefs and food quality and variety but the variety as mentioned isn't there. Lately serving more sandwiches. Nursing staff not always on the ball. My loved one manages and takes own medication, but nurses are always coming in to give my loved one meds. Seems like they don't keep any records on residents and what care they are providing. Aides are pretty lazy too. Based on what my loved one could afford, it is a decent value.

Response from StoryPoint Naperville
March 15, 2023Hello, We appreciate this feedback and are sorry to hear of this experience. We have not heard of these unique concerns, and unfortunately, since you did not leave a name, we cannot identify you. We think it would be best to connect with you directly to learn more about your experience and resolve any concerns. If you want to elaborate on your feedback, we encourage you to reach out to our Executive Director at (630) 548-4488. Thank you!
We chose StoryPoint Naperville over many others that I looked at because my mother had to go into memory care and I wanted my parents to be together. My father is in independent living and so he is able to go see her everyday so that is great. I go there at least 3-4 times a week and everyone is very friendly and cordial. We have not had any complaints as of so far.

I wouldn't recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The community won't be there to assist your loved one with care. The staff communication with the family could use some improvement as they weren't responsive to our calls, or able to be reached when we had questions or concerns. I feel overall the assessment of my loved one wasn't correctly done. The community is beautiful and a big community for staff to get to all the resident's rooms in a timely manner.

Response from StoryPoint Naperville
February 24, 2023Hello, We appreciate your feedback and are always looking for opportunities to improve. We are disappointed that your family felt the assessment was not correct. Our team works closely with each family to ensure their care needs are met as they change. We think the best way that the best way to resolve their concerns is to connect with you directly. If you would like to discuss their review, please call the community and ask to speak to the Executive Director.
The most significant thing for us was that when you walk in the door for the first time, the level of activity was so much different than any other place that we looked at. The residents were out and about, socializing, talking, engaging. It was just very lively. My parents have a 2 bedroom apartment and it is a perfect size for what they need. They do rave about the food as well. I would and have recommended StoryPoint Naperville.

First off I just want to say Thank you to all the workers at StoryPoint. What a phenomenal group of people. You were all so helpful and took so much time to help my father. I was so excited I got to move him in here and was so hoping he could of stayed for many years. Unfortunately his parkinsons/dementia took a turn and he got very ill very quickly. For the short time we were there I felt like I got to know so many of the workers and they are a wonderful group. I would HIGHLY reccmmend StoryPoint of Naperville to anyone looking for great care.It was clean the staff is great and my dad loved the food. Once again I can't thank you enough.

It all starts with the top. The Executive Director has fantastic staff. Everything is good, from the dining to the activites. It all comes down to the people. They seem to attract reseidents and other families. We picked this community because of the price. Special credit to [names removed] who are unbelievably awesome. They have great people.

We were recommended this facility by another facility. The staff is helpful, quick to know your name, helpful with any and all issues. Friendly and inviting. They continue updating facilities. Plenty of activities for all. Warm and comfortable atmosphere.

When I was moving from my home, I prayed for guidance and found a home of love, faith, and hope- it's called StoryPoint. StoryPoint has a caring staff whose 'joy' is found in listening to and honoring your needs. And other residents with whom, as we share experiences, have become 'dear friends.'

A Place for Mom has scored StoryPoint Naperville 9.6 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
