The house keeping needs improvement they aren't doing their best. The memory care side needs a lot more activities and just a lot more help in general so our loved can get the adequate care and attention they deserve.
It's been great. They've been very diligent about getting my loved one physical therapy and getting him to push his call button to ask for help with transfers. Everybody I've come into contact with has been very helpful. It's a bit pricey, but they do a great job.
Pleased with all aspects of care of my sister.

The director of memory care is outstanding and his nursing staff is very attentive to our loved ones needs and wants. He is always on top of her health issues and the medical staff is constantly evaluating our loved one and making adjustments. They have professionals in the medical area of Psychology and Psychiatry so our loved ones care is always their top priority. The medical staff makes any type of adjustments when it comes to our loved ones daily activities or medicine. So far our loved one has had no complaints regarding the food and from what we can see it looks very good. We would recommend this community to others.
We chose HarborChase because we were looking when covid was in full swing. There were only a limited amount of places that let us tour in person. Of the handful of places we were able to tour, the interior of the facility was prettier than the others we looked at and they also gave us the best price. The sales person was quite awesome and was great with following up with us. Since being there, we have had mixed results. The food here is not good, based off of what she has said sometimes they bring you things that are not cooked properly. I have talked to some other residents while visiting and they say the same things. I would tell others to be weary when your tour, if one of the residents approaches you and talks to you about how wonderful it is, we found out later that it was staged.
When our loved one first moved there it was great, and then it went downhill. The people were really friendly at first, and by the time we left, I was not at all pleased with them. The director of sales was fantastic throughout. She was phenomenal. She bent over backwards to help get my loved one there and get the cost into the range our budget would allow. She had good communication overall. It was a good place for what we needed for my loved one. I was lucky that I had gotten to visit about 1.5 years ago, before Covid. So I had walked through then and was very pleased with it. I know they're going through a lot because of Covid, but it's hard to know what is due to Covid and what's just normal for them. There was a huge lack of communication, and especially because we weren't able to go inside due to Covid, we felt that communication was even more essential. It was very scary now knowing what was going on with my loved one. The executive director was absolutely awful, extremely rude, very unprofessional, not friendly, and not helpful. When I reached out to her with concerns about my loved one and tried to pinpoint some things and get some information, she would brush me off and not call me back. I would email so there was a record of the communication, and she would say she never got the emails. People I copied on the emails said they did get them. I definitely didn't feel comfortable having my loved one there, especially toward the end of her residency there.
This was a beautiful community, it was just twice as much money as another we found. I think that was because It was a very new community and much larger. It seemed like a very nice place, with nice rooms, and the staff seemed nice. I would just pop by unannounced, to see what was going on since my loved one has dementia and can't necessarily tell me. I didn’t see anything that was weird. During activities time, it looked like most people were there participating. There were a couple of groups based on different abilities. They seemed very interactive with their residents.
They were very good to us in the beginning, and they did a great job of making sure my loved one adjusted well. The people there were very nice. It just wasn’t the right fit. My loved one was the only guy, and I didn’t realize how important it would be to have a mix of residents, and not just one-sided. I felt like the staff just didn't’ “get” him. I think they weren’t used to having an active male and didn’t know how to care for or handle him. And I think they should have know better. It was a great facility, but I'm not sure if they were capable of handling someone with memory issues who was up all night. It was a nice place, they just didn't have a balanced gender ratio.
It was a very friendly and engaging community. The rooms weren't exactly we were looking for. This was a second choice of ours.
The staff members at the community are super, and we thought the care services were wonderful. From our understanding our loved one seemed to enjoy the meals they served, and we thought the value was completely worth it. We have even recommend HarborChase to other friends and families.

We chose Harbor Chase mainly because the aesthetics of it. When you walk in it feels more like a hotel rather than a facility. It was a nice bigger apartment space. They had a first class chef and the meals were very good. They have still managed to keep some activities going even with the circumstances. Before the lock-down, they did have a lot of activities to offer. As a family member I have not gotten a lot of communication from them, you have to call in order to get information from them, but I do know they have their hands full. My mom has gotten the care that she needs and the nursing staff has been good at staying on top of things. Overall, she is happy with Habor Chase of Naperville.
We love Harbor Chase. Please get a hairdresser in. Residents hair looks terrible. It's been 6 months. Extend outside /table visiting hours from Monday – Wednesday- Friday to Monday - Wednesday - Friday - Saturday - Sunday or every day . Thank you for taking care of my parents.
Mom has lived here for two years. She is very well cared for by both staff and Care Partners. She is a very high-functioning 93 year old. So, I would like more activities that cognitively stimulate her, other than bingo. They're covid protocols have been great!
Harbor Chase is a beautiful complex. Hubby is in memory care here. It's close to home and I would spend a couple hours a day with him until Covid. But, he's being treated so well by his Care Partners – no place is perfect. But very pleased.
The compassion and Care delivered by the staff is well above expectations. My mother has found a second family at Harbor Chase, who care for her and keep open communication with our family.
Seem to care about their residence and it's very clean. Mom seems content. I do feel they should regularly communicate with family members. Mom doesn't use a phone and they don't give us regular updates on her care. We always have to call and ask someone for a status. I feel with covid, at least one family member should be able to go in to see residents, their apartment, etc. once a month at least.
Staff is always friendly and very willing and giving of themselves. I want the staff to know that it doesn't go unnoticed!!! Thank you so!!!
Very nice place, nice experience.
