The food , as usual was prepared with delicious flavor and also with attention to texture and tenderness (chewability). Good job Lexington Square Lombard And the staff truly like Seniors. That gets a 10. I am of the opinion that what made Lex Square stand out to me wasn't just the friendliness of the staff, but their noticeable warm professionalism and compassion. I'm still getting to know people and adjusting to the change. I'm not real outgoing so this usually takes longer for me; but I'm settling into a regular routine. I really enjoy the exercise program, and the lady who runs it is great. I tend to do things by myself - art projects, reading, enjoying classical music - but I'm getting out more and getting to know others better. Personally I think the dinner menus are too fancy; main entrees with sauces on the side is more preferable to me but... Cost is higher, but I also have a larger size studio.

Only reason I listed quality of care last is due to my mother-in-law being in independent living so not needing care. The space in the apartment especially room for a table in the kitchen. Also the front receptionist not only remembers me, but is also able to give me small updates on my mother-in-law especially when she was new to the community.

Many of the employees have been working there a very long time and you can tell they really care about their jobs and the residents. The move in process was not as coordinated as I would expect, some information was not conveyed to the resident, but everyone was friendly and helped resolve the issues. Families should take a very active role in move ins and be sure the resident has all of the information they need

After Dad died, Mom's loneliness was engulfing her more and more. While the thought of leaving the home they had shared so long together was heartbreaking, she was looking forward to being around other people again on a daily basis. While she still grieves, she is happy to have found a community at Lexington where she feels at home, fits in with new friends, and has even reconnected with an old neighbor that she discovered is living there.

We have not had experience with the meals or dining service but when we speak with our loved one she seems to really be enjoying it. They do offer a fair amount of good activities for the residents to do. The overall value is good, we feel that you get a lot for what you pay for. She is happy there and based on our families experience so far we would recommend Lexington Square to others

Our family had an in person tour and it was good but the community just did not appeal to us
Lexington Square is the best place for senior living. They give the best of care to my dad who has been a resident for over [number removed] years. The facility is very clean, the staff is super attentive, upbeat and friendly. If he has a medical need, the nurses are just a phone call away. They follow up on my dad and make sure the family is notified if necessary. I know he is safe, has numerous activities to keep him busy, both mentally and physically. He has many friends and recently turned 99 years old and is still in independent living. Thank you Lexington for taking such loving care of my dad. You are the best!

Lexington Square Lombard was our second choice, the sales staff were all very knowledgeable and up front and the facility itself was nice.
We toured Lexington Square and it is a little bit of an older facility. The reason we did not choose them was because it is in a very busy area and did not have a park. The team was great with follow up.
The buy-ins for all the communities in my area is really high, and I think it is crazy. I believe Lexington is great. During the move in process the person I was speaking to, ended up moving on to another job. I wasn't told about the process of switching from independent living to assisted living or memory care. I feel like I didn't get all the information and now it is hard to get the information I am asking for. The person that works the front desk is amazing.

A Place for Mom has scored Lexington Square Lombard a CCRC 9.3 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
