I enjoy the Foulk Living community. The staff is warm and friendly and very professional in their dealings with residents. I have been here three years, most during the Pandemic, and the staff was diligent in keeping us safe as possible. The residents are also enjoyable. We have a lot of activities and enjoyable outside entertainment that comes frequently to add to our fun. Also, if I ever need it, there is wonderful healthcare. And, to whom it may be important, Foulk Living is in a very good location, close to everything that is important to me. Faulk Manor is going through renovations. They are understaffed and communication with them is poor. Nevertheless we put mom here. She is in memory care. One day we called to let them know we were having lunch with mom that day. When we arrived we let the staff know that we called ahead and we were seated in the dining room with mom. A few minutes later we were asked to leave because apparently we were seated in the wrong place and they didn't have enough food for us. We found that experience to be incredibly rude. On another day we took mom down to a musical activity on the 1st floor. The activity was cancelled because of lack of attendance.

Foulk Manor gave us a great tour - they showed us around the whole facility and answered all of our questions that we had. I was not overly impressed with the facility itself, it just want not going to be the right fit for my loved one. The staff were great with following up with us after the tour as well.
The building is older and could use some updating. The staff are great and they were great and attentive. The staff and community were there when I needed them. The check in and check out process was good. The staff were very receptive to communications with the family to check in on our loved one. They do have the ability to offer physical therapy if the resident needs it and isn't receiving it elsewhere.

This is a nice community. There has been some struggles with staffing; however, they are doing the best they can with the staffing they have. They seem to really care about the residents. There are games, bingo, charades, happy hour, music, outside musicians. arts and crafts, and more are some of the activities offered.

The place was kind of run-down. They show us an unfinished cottage and the parking was just to far for my mom.

I like that I have an independent cottage where I could bring my dogs, which was hard to find. There's a dog park right next door and a library, which is nice. Some things about independent living are frustrating. For instance, they're not able to things like take your blood pressure. Activities are getting better, considering the pandemic. They can be evasive/vague with communication to the residents. They've also seemed unconcerned with a common area porch that needs attention. There are things they say they'll do that are not done on time. The food is lacking in variety - chicken pretty much every night, and they give fancy titles to ordinary dishes. They do have a residential council meeting each month where the residents can voice their concerns. But I don't feel like any of the residents actually do voice their concerns.

Our family had a virtual tour, and while our experience was good and nothing stood out as negative or had red flags, our loved one just like the aesthetics and layouts of the rooms more at another community.

The staff are attentive and they call with any concerns about my loved one. They even called me to keep me updated on progress of my loved one getting settled into the community. I like the community. The doctor calls and lets me know how my loved one's health is. The apartment is very clean and well kept. Everything has been really good. They have been informative, which is good. the food is decent. The help is good and nice. I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. It is a nice atmosphere. There are no smells and the community is very clean.

My mother last few years were spent at Foul Manor North. She lived in independent living, assistant living and eventually 24 hour care. Everyday I felt blessed she was in such loving hands. The nursing staff treated her like family. The administrative staff was so easy and understanding to work with. I am so very grateful to everyone who works here and made my mother so comfortable and loved. [Name removed]

My parents are doing okay as new residents of the community. Everything is a lot better and more than I thought it would be. The staff has great communication to our family. It is a clean community. I would recommend them but the price is a little expensive.

The community didn't have someone that could provide the kind of care that my loved one needed. My loved one had an incident and no one had noticed it till a few hours after it had happened. The staff didn't manage my loved ones catheter good and this ended up in their health being put at risk. Staff didn't communicate well in between shifts with each other.

We operate under strict industry standards and often times exceed these regulations. With that being said, we are always looking for ways to improve, so if you are willing, we kindly ask you to call our Gold Star Service line [removed] and provide us with more details.
The room was good, but I didn't feel like the bathroom was taken care of well. My friend is in the assisted living unit and I just think that the bathroom is not handled very well. There could have been improvement there.

I do like the staff. We are going to be moving my loved one very soon because of the price. She was accepted in the independent living but they moved her into assisted living. Assisted living is twice as expensive. That is the reason we are moving her. I think they should have a bigger space for their dementia day program. The program is good for socializing but the room is very small with a lot of people in it. They could improve on their communication and follow ups.

I highly recommend that you do your research. Talk to existing residents but more importantly talk to their family members. I will never put a loved one in this facility. It was very good years ago not now. Administration changed and nursing staff has had high turnover. That should sum it up for you!

I rate 1.5 stars for management. When I originally went there my parents were evaluated. I was very afraid when we would run out of money and when the funds run out they said there would be medicaid. I was told everything would be fine. After a few weeks, they had to put my parents in two different rooms because of my dads dementia. I was told there was a waiting list for medicaid. I'm really unhappy that everything changed. Right now I'm trying to find an alternative for my parents.

Staff is very friendly while visiting but not so much when alone with the patients! We have been lied to by a CNA or Tech. Told us She was up and dressed and must have gotten undressed and back in bed. We knew this was obviously a lie due to the timing envolved and her condition.

Foulk Manor North is a great community. I recently moved in there and and am enjoying myself. I am in the independent living area in one of the cottages. The staff is great and very friendly. The food is fantastic! The dining experience is great, with a variety of food available. The servers are great and the dining room is well organized. They do have call lights available. The staff is very attentive to needs. I had a need for door handles in my cottage and they were installed before I even moved in! The area that is lacking is the activities. I've heard others complain about not having enough activities available to residents. Hopefully this can be remedied.

Both my Aunt and Uncle are residents of Foulk Manor North and love it very much. The staff is what makes this place great. They are all warm and friendly, and very eager to help in any way possible. Foulk Manor gets an A++ from my family.

Staff was really awesome! Secured entrance was a great plus. Greeted as soon as you walked in the door. The facility was quite lovely and the rooms were very, very nice. Lots of activities for the residents and the amenities were modern. All day dining is a real plus. The cottage was perfect, however, it was a fairly long walk to get to the dining area. They had a spectacular screened in patio area that was supersized with absolutely beautiful furniture. That alone was a huge selling point for Mom. This facility is a top contender in our search!
