If you want your loved one to be well cared for DON’T place them here especially not in the Alzheimer’s unit.

I chose Deer Park Village because of all of the activities and amenities that are provided for residents. The apartment sizes are adequate, they have several different models to choose from and it works out very well. The people here are outstanding, my loved one was in assisted living for a while and they were phenomenal over there. The only downfall is the dining experience, they need more help and covid is not making it easier on them. They have divided the meal times and sometimes they have run out of food or the quality is not as good. We are just now getting back to more people eating at once, but they still need help. Overall I would recommend them to others looking.

Deer Park Village appeared to be an older community compared to other communities we looked at. This seemed to be a bit of a quieter community than my loved one needed.
The community felt too spread-out for my loved one.
Our loved ones there are really happy so far, and they are enjoying their stay. They like it so much that they were able to convince another family members to move in. We have heard of no issues so far, and if there is an issues it has been very minor and fixed immediately
We chose Deer Park Village because of the location it was close to family. Everyone was very friendly and we just liked the way it looked, it is in a nice spot. The room sizes are adequate, he has a 1 bedroom with a living room. He enjoys the food and they are chef prepared meals. They are struggling a little bit with being understaffed, they got bought out by a different company recently. But everyone that works here is very nice and helpful. I would recommend to others looking.

The community is in the process of moving along towards getting the activities back in order, and the community is starting to open back up. They are now offering three meals in the dining room which is a big thing, beforehand the meals were being delivered to our rooms.

This is an awesome community. It is very nice here, and my mom is taken care of over the top. I would recommend the community highly to others. Some of the caregivers gave me peace of mind when I decided to move. They have a lot of social events for the residents, and trips out and about. Due to the pandemic visitation has been limited. They did recently change the name to Deer Park Village.

On the whole, I feel that Solana is a well-run community. However, the caregivers are highly overworked. I have been here for five months, 6 caregivers have left and none were hired. There are 2 more leaving in the next two weeks. The caregivers are superb, never complaining. My thoughts are just an observation. I would hate to lose more caregivers to poor work conditions.

Living at The Solana for almost 3 years has been everything promised to me when I moved here and more. The staff and employees are the best-trained people always eager to help fix anything any minor problem that might arise. The culinary staff does an excellent job of providing delicious dinners. The servers are young people always ready to greet you with smiles and deliver what you order. This is truly a home away from home!

In this place I can have independent living for my life. They take care all residents here good. We had house rules to protect everyone from COVID-19; all workers have been COVID-19 tested. Notify everyone for updated information. All food is good. Any way we can be safe and enjoy here.

What an amazing place. My mother is only been there one week and everyone on the staff knew her name whether we were in the dining room or just passing in the hallway. Excellent food. Spacious apartments. Thoughtful, happy staff. Highly recommended. Especially for memory care.

Please do not judge this book (or any facility) by it's cover, it is pretty, it is clean and the staff is nice and very attentive while you are shopping. However the care of the assisted living facility, the senior team and the corporate office is there for one reason, MONEY. We moved our mother out after her SECOND fall at Solana which resulted in a second broken bone. The Director of the Assisted Living area ( who to this day I have not met, nor have we had a care plan review with, even after several requests) is new to this facility and does not know what she is doing. It took her over a week to return my calls after my mom broke her arm and was sent to the ER, in fact it took me 3 calls to her, 2 calls to her regional VP and 2 calls to the corporate office and a week later, to finally speak to her regarding the best plan of care for my mom after her fall. Of course by this time it was too late. During this time however, she did have the time to speak to the hospital and rudely tell the hospital that she did not want my mother to return because she was too difficult to handle. She also told my mother's LTC policy that she moved out, but Solana then proceeded to charge us another 5 weeks of care. I see many people complaining about the food at this facility, I wish that the only issue was the food, but the dining is the highlight of this facility. The care provided to the residents and the customer service provided to the loved ones of the residents is far far worse and I highly recommend looking past the cover of this book. I am still waiting for a return call from corporate as I write this review.

Please do not place your loved one/s at Solana, we moved my mom out after her second fall and her second broken bone. . The new Director of Assisted Living is the worst. She doesn't return calls, doesn't relay messages from the doctor and does not set up regular care plan meetings as requested. After my mom's second fall and her trip to the ER I called to speak to the Director of Assisted Living to discuss the best care plan for my mother. It took 3 calls to her, 2 calls to her VP, 2 calls to corporate and a week later to get a response from her. However she was able to speak with the hospital and the them that she did not want my mother back because she was too difficult. She also told my mother's LTC Policy that she moved out, and Solana continued to charge another 5 weeks of care. To this day I am still waiting for corporate to return a call to discuss reimbursement for overcharges. Do yourself and your loved ones a favor, do your research, do not judge by the cover. Judge by the number of beds filled, speak to the families of the residents. Do your research and stay away from Solana.

The Solana of Deer Park is a very nice place. The staff is very friendly, welcoming and concerned about their patients. They treat everyone with dignity. My mom is in the memory care area. She wasn’t doing well for a while and they showed concern and kept in contact with me. The rooms are nice and large. Even the shared rooms are private except for the bathroom. They keep the place pretty clean considering they have quite a few people to take care of. The food could be more natural and less processed. The communication between staff could be a little better, but everything is an adjustment. All in all it is a nice place and is a good value for the price.

Very nice amenities. You can tell that it's only a couple of years old. Well taken care of. Fresh and contemporary. I didn’t see as much interaction and activity amongst the residents as I was hoping. Very few were in the common areas during our tour.

My mother has been a resident of Solana for almost 2 years and for the past 18 months the quality of service and culinary experience that we had been promised has steadily declined! Solana is marketed as a premium property. This is a place you would expect higher levels of quality, service, and amenities to coincide with the higher monthly payments. Unfortunately, Solana is struggling to live up to these standards today. Residents are often having long wait times (+60 min) to be seated with much fewer menu selections than previous years. The restaurant is understaffed and experiences high turnovers in both chefs and wait staff. Most concerning is the continued increase in rent year after year! Since 2016, average rents have increase cumulatively over 20% including a proposed 7.5% -13% increase for 2019! Solana is a beautiful well maintained property with friendly (but frustrated…) residents that are hoping the Atria Senior Living Management Team will quickly address these issues and get the Solana facility back on track!
