This community is very homey. It is comfortable and friendly. They have activities like special theme nights, Margarita ville nights, western nights and things to keep the residents engaged. They also have store runs, dinner out at restaurants and things to get the residents out.
It's very nice and pleasant here. The staff are great, and I get along well with all of them. The food is excellent, which I never thought I would be able to say in a place like this. The activities director is always doing things for us, carnivals and all sorts of activities. It's never boring - there's always something to do here. I love the peace and quiet. I love the area. I'm pretty well satisfied. It's a little expensive, but when I stop and think about the cost of owning a home, and then all of the extra things things I get living here, it's actually a pretty good value. I would recommend it. I'm sure everybody would be very pleased to live here.
Everyone at Claremont is very flexible and accommodating. I would definitely recommend Claremont to others who are looking.
There has been a lot of turnover of staff. Everyone that is here have been friendly. I never have to worry about my loved one. In fact my loved one is happy here. The food has a good variety and they have big portions of food for the residents.
After talking with a few places to move my aunt into, this one really stood out. It's not owned and managed by a corporation, but rather it is a family-owned business with a mission to provide quality care at an affordable price. It's really darling, from all the photos, with an excellent dining room and a warm community atmosphere. Every room has a small screened in porch with lovely vegetation outside. The staff has been very helpful and supportive, and although my aunt is not yet out of rehab and moved in, I am confident that this is the right move. They have 3 levels of care (independent, assisted and memory), so I can rest assured that she will be appropriately cared for as things change. I am very pleased to have found this "place for auntie!"
The community has made a big effort to continue activities and visits but keeping it safe for everyone. The community is small, very clean well kept. The community is also involved with the community and they are very open to feedback. I would definitely recommend this community to others. My mom loves it here and has made lots of friends. The apts are all on one floor and each has a screened in porch.
Claremont Village is a place of kind care for residents.I have been here for 3 months.I found a place for myself & my dog. A place of safety & "Care Minded Staff".I can relax and know -with just a phone call, anything or issue will be resolved.I also realize & appreciate that this retirement village can only function well as a result of effort, from an Amazing Staff, The Managing Director [name removed] has organized an Excellent Team-For the care of all of us here.
I had to put my father in a nursing home facility due to his dementia and I was only given a day and a half to find somewhere quick, so I chose the Claremont Retirement home for him. This was based on cost only. I had no idea what was involved when I started searching for my Dad's care after he was in a Rehab facility from a bad fall. The Claremont Retirement Village has got to be the worst place that I have ever dealt with in regards to getting someone to help me. They almost never return your call or they will transfer you to someone else when you call in and that person's voicemail is normally full so you can't leave a message. I have not been given any updates on my father's progress since he has been there or how his health was when he was admitted. I know they get a report from the Rehab Facility prior to his admittance. He has been in the Claremont for 3 1/2 months now, and he is in Memory Care. I would not recommend this place unless you are looking for somewhere at a reasonable price. I am currently in the process of finding another place for him, now that I know what is really expected and what you should receive from a Nursing/Retirement Facility.
My mom has been at Claremont for 5 1/2 years. She has enjoyed her independence and having her own small kitchen and spacious bedroom is a bonus. Now she has transferred to assisted living but will be 101 years old this week. During the isolation for the COVID virus she received extra attention from the staff and meals were delivered t9 her room. The maintenance department is amazing! During the Past five years, they have promptly replaced Mom’s heating and AC unit, installed new cable TV and remote controls, Replaced the refrigerator twice, installed brand new faucets in the bathroom, fixed the disposal in the kitchen, Replaced light fixtures and recently [name removed] went to assisted living and made sure Mom’s cell phone was charged and working. We cannot thank them enough for making Claremont an increasingly great place for Senior Living.
Very old facility. While the pricing is very reasonable, you get what you pay for. They were unprepaired for my visit as if they had no knowledge of me coming in.
This is a place I would not hesitate to place my parent, partner or any relative in. The staff is always friendly and ready to help when the need arises. Also I have never felt to complain about the food all the time, if there is a problem they will correct it immediately.
I feel I that I have checked many places and I am glad that I and my family chose this place. Everyone is so friendly and helpful no matter what your need is at that time. They never make you feel like you are imposing on them. There food is always great and if it isn’t what you expected they will get you what you want.
My Mother needed to move from her Asst Living Apt at another facility and seek a Memory Care Unit that could care for her Dementia. The staff at Claremont was exceptional helping me transition her from a place she was familiar with to a new room and facility. She adapted very well to her new home. Claremont does many things to keep the Memory Care residents busy and active. I appreciate the creative care she is getting now. Many changes have been made at Claremont in the last few years I hear--- and I appreciate everything they have to offer. First and foremost--- Peace of Mind.

Hi, Thanks for the feedback. Yes, we have been working hard to improve the resident experience in our Memory Care department. We realize that safety, comfort and entertainment are going to be the most important deliverable on our part. We are glad to hear that we met your expectations. The Claremont Team
I had to move my Mother from a local Asst Living community to a secure Memory Care community last month. I found Claremont with some help from A Place for Mom. The staff at Claremont did everything they could to help a very stressful situation turn into a positive experience. Their staff is caring and kind. My Mom lived in a new and beautiful Asst Liv Center for 7 years, but it did not have the same dedication that I have seen already at Claremont. Looking back it seems very 'Corporate'. Claremont seems warm and homey. I sleep well at night knowing my Mom is in a safe, caring and stimulating environment. It's the best I can hope for at a stage in her life where she no longer recognizes me. She is comfortable and happy. There are a lot of positive changes going on at Claremont. It is worth your time to take a tour, observe the residents and staff. You will see and feel it too.
This is an older retirement village. One benefit is that most apartments have screened in porches and residents can add a fenced area for their pet. Must pay for electric. Seemed that many residents were on the older side and the apartments were adequate but I wanted something a little larger. Clean appearance. Fees were a little less than some of the others.
They have dogs walking in the halls very friendly staff. But might be hard for someone to make new friends at first. Privately owned.
My Mother has been a resident at the Claremont for over two years. In the past year, the facility has a new hands-on management staff that has made a number of positive and resident-responsive changes. The most important for my Mother has been the improvements made in the dining room. She has particularly enjoyed the addition of an excellent salad bar. Even before this past year’s changes, the staff at the Claremont has been, and continues to be, the best we could have wished for. Their kindness and concern for the residents is so appreciated by this daughter. In addition, whenever there has been any kind of maintenance issue with my Mother’s apartment, it has always been addressed within hours of bringing it to the front desk’s attention. The only negative I need to mention is that because the facility is older, doorways and space in the bathroom are definitely not ideal, particularly as a resident ages and uses a walker or wheelchair. Additionally, it would be nice if hallways had railings. But despite these last comments, the staff and value offered at the Claremont made it a great choice for us.
We really liked the private screened porches and the fact that everything is on one level. They seem more like small private homes than apartments and the interior layout is great.
We loved what they are doing here. However I think part of a community is first impression and this place needs updated badly. It feels run down. I know they are working on it but for someone like my mom this would be a considerable downturn in scenery. She’s got a lovely modern condo now and these feel like budget apartments.
My mom is now 99 and has been at Claremont For 3 years. The maintenance staff is above and Beyond the call of duty. They have replaced the AC unit and come for repairs within the day mom Has reported a problem. The food has improve the past Two months and service by the staff is caring and Respectful at all times. The cleaning staff also Does an excellent job. The location is close to Restaurants, shopping and the local pharmacy. The greeters at the front desk are so caring and Call mom by name when she passes.
